But he wont support securing the border. He supports sending US troops to Mexico but not to the border.

Take a look at all that our State has done to secure the border and fight immigration: http://wingright.org/2011/10/05/rick-perrys-record-on-border-security/

Where on earth did you get the idea that the Governor has not asked for troops, over and over?

Provably false. He supports doing both. He has asked Obama for troops, and says he will put them there himself if elected. Like I posted earlier, the truth will shine through the lies. Not what you wanted when you falsely post that he is a left winger, and my post subsequent shows that designation is laughably false, as well. In place of the refused troops from Obama, he is utilizing a Texas Ranger force on the border. They are limited by law as to what they can do, but up to the limits of the law they are as active as can be right now.

Perry on Border Security

The thread linked below contains facts that Perry has officially requested by letter to Obama, letter to Napalitano and letter to then-Defense Secretary Gates, National Guard troops to be deployed to the Border to act in support of border enforcement operations currently underway.

I heard his wife in a NH appearance tell an attendee who asked her about the Border that her husband has sent letters as well as publicly asked for troops, and Anita Perry told the person that the federal government officials refuse even to reply to the letters, officially ignoring them as if they were never sent.

(AZ Governor Brewer has reported the same thing, that every attempt at communication on border issues with the feds, of hers, is deliberately ignored.)

Remember the photo of Perry trying to hand deliver a letter to Obama on an Obama visit to Texas last year. An aide to Obama took the letter but once again it was officially ignored.

Governor Perry literally had to crash that Obama-at-airport-in-Austin scene, because Obama was there only to fund raise. Earlier he said he could give the Governor a few minutes on the tarmac if Perry would fly to El Paso from Austin to meet him there. Perry refused to do that, but did crash the Austin landing and had a letter requesting federal troops in hand.

You can talk all you want but you don’t have to lie.

Google, Bing or any of the other search engines would help you increase your knowledge of what Perry has said and done regarding border security....
