Raymond Davis, who was charged with killing two men in Pakistan as a CIA contractor but was later released, was arrested Saturday after a fistfight at a shopping center in Colorado, authorities said. Davis was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct after allegedly getting into a fight over a parking space at a suburban Denver mall, according to Lt. Glenn Peitzmeier of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The incident at the Highlands Ranch Town Center began as an argument between 37-year-old Davis and 50-year-old Jeff Maes and then turned physical, Peitzmeier said. Davis was released after posting $1,750 bond, Peitzmeier said. Davis' wife, Rebecca, declined a CNN request for comment. Davis was charged with killing two men in Lahore, Pakistan, in January. He was released in March after compensation was paid to their families. U.S. officials originally said Davis was a diplomat and tried to claim diplomatic immunity but then revealed that he was a CIA contractor. Davis said he killed the two men in self-defense, though Lahore authorities called the case "clear-cut murder."

The complete list of gear confiscated from Ray Davis is interesting. “What does a tier-one covert operator take on a singleton mission into a denied area full of head-choppers?” Here’s a partial list I found. I couldn’t locate the complete list I read before, which listed everything down to tiny E&E kit items.

How many trained volunteers do you think the CIA gets to perform singleton missions in denied areas where, if you are nabbed, you stand a very high likelihood of getting the Nick Berg beheading on video?

All the big specops heros suddenly check their fingernails. It’s one thing to chopper in with a platoon, and jets and drones and attack helos overhead and friendly snipers behind. It’s another to go solo into head-chopping country with orders to sneak into denied military zones.

Loose cannon or big brass ones? You decide. And let us know if you are available for the next solo covert op into head chopping land. Maybe Pakistan is too far. How about take photos of all of the mansions and private runways used by The Sinaloa Cartel, and Los Zetas? All by your lonesome, with just sidearms and a couple cell phones, and zero backup.

You up for that mission? I’m not either. So go easy on the rare birds who are. They are rare indeed. I’m glad he got home. He was looking at being lynched in that jail (an SOP over there) and beheaded for a couple of weeks. No fun at all. He’s lucky to have his head still attached to his shoulders. I give him MAJOR props for being willing to do that job.

Sorry...he was in Colorado getting into a fight over a parking space, not the rough and tumble of the streets of Lahore or in some Taliban enclave along the Afghan border...
He sounds like someone who should not be placed in stressful situations right now. IMHO.

An old IR metascope, or piece of old SovBloc gear? IR doesn't seem real cutting-edge, unleses they're talking about an IFF *firefly* for helo pickups.

Sounds more like an individual's assembled *git kit* or GOOD bag rather than mission-critical issue items.
