How ‘bout we disband the DHS, including the TSA, and allow concealed carry on public conveyances.

Great; until a bullet penetrates the aircraft and rapid-depressurization occors, or, worse yet, contol hydraulic lines are severed by a stray bullet, and the plane is out of control.
I have always maintained that society will be much more civil if everyone was armed.
But if only someone in our trillion dollar defense and intel budget would have prevented these 19 Arabs with box-cutters from doing what they did. Then these trillions of dollars that we’ve frittered away since, with security agents strip searching our children, babies and wives, and giving fliers who use Bill instead of William, a hard time would NEVER EVER have been justified or tolerated.
This all strikes me as perfect example for the frog in the slowly heated pot analogy.
How 'bout we use both systems - one where you walk on the plane without the secret police - I mean TSA - doing a once over - and the other one with your plan - citizens get on plane and have their guns with them. Citizens make the choice by how they buy their tickets.
In 6 months flying the Government Way would be broke - broken - and the horror would be over.
