Oct 6 (Reuters) - Mexican trucks will start crossing the U.S. border again in a couple of weeks, reducing transportation costs between the two neighbors by some 15 percent, Mexico's Economy Minister Bruno Ferrari said.

The resolution of the long-standing cross-border trucking dispute should give an additional boost to Mexican manufacturers, who have been fighting to increase their market share in the United States.

"If you take into consideration that Mexico's manufacturing costs are at least 25 percent lower than in the U.S., this is going to be a very strong competitive advantage," Ferrari told Reuters in an interview late Wednesday.

Mexican manufacturers have been in a fierce battle with Chinese exporters to gain market share in the U.S.

A huge step up of the illegal alien invasion. They’ll be rolling in now. Just in time for the 2012 elections.

Well, Obama is not alone:

“That is why it is wrong, and inherently detrimental to our relationship with Mexico for the U.S. Congress to pursue a protectionist policy that forbids Mexican trucks from U.S. roadways.” -Rick Perry

I have heard that Mexican trucks are not subject to the sort of inspections that American trucks have to have.

When I am in in front of one of these trucks and he’s bearing down on my tail (I live in TX and encounter them on our highways frequently),) I just try to get out of their way, even if it means pulling off of the road at the next exit.

More trucking jobs for Mexicans, fewer trucking jobs for Americans
More crazy antiAmerican shiite from our very own 3rd world president. What a coincidence that he supports this 3rd world invasion of America

Whatever the motive, announced or unannounced, the death knell of the American trucking industry has just been sounded.

It is amazing that American politicians actively seek to harm American citizens and benefit aliens.

so let me get this right
He takes money off the teamsters but teamsters are for more Mexicans to drive on our roads and then we pay to have more traffic on our roads .

No wonder we are not getting jobs here when they can come over here and do an America truckers job.

Before F&F Mexy bribes assured there were plenty of narco load drivers.

But now that our affirmative-action insectoid Prez from hell has gone and machine-gunned 3,000 of them (not 200, the more commonly cited number) I predict the drivers-to-be might well work for nothing.

They might do it out of simple, twisted patriotism, and I would understand the principle at work.

This is all assuming, of course, that Obama’s formal agreement not to interfere with the drug loads of the Sinaloa Cartel in return for intelligence is not what is, err...DRIVING this...

How about some “occupy our borders” boosters standing across roads, bridges and creating “civil unrest” to bring nation wide attention to this continued theft of our country?
