I would say it is not the business of Christians to be judging the relationship of other people to Christ. That’s between Christ and the individual. No one knows what goes on in someone else’s soul or how Christ may consider him.
Jeremiah Wright, is that you?
Christians are called to judge false doctrine and heresy. We are called to judge those who claim to be Christians yet don’t follow Christ.
See my tagline. I know first hand that Mormons are NOT Christians, period. Their theology precludes it. Rather than adopt a live and let live attitude, it is more Christian to minister to them as non-believers and convert them to the Christ of the Bible.
I am grateful every single day for those Christians who ‘attacked’ my Mormon faith with the Bible and help to open my eyes and to the Christians (like my now husband) who worked me through the issues and led me to the real Jesus Christ.

1. “I would say it is not the business of Christians to be judging the relationship of other people to Christ.”
That would be wrong and naive. We must decide this so we can know what type of relationship to have with people, if any at all. God doesn't want us to put our heads in the sand. If your son or daughter was getting serious about a Mormon, is it not up to you to know if that potential spouse of your child is a “Christian” or not?
2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
We are to make such discernment.

Here I mostly agree. It is up to God to judge. These are things we can not know for certain and circumstances can change at any time. We can't save anyone, so what we think won't change God's decision. To live our lives we need to make these judgments everyday. We may be wrong, but we have to do the best we can based on the evidence we have.
Some elements of "judging" is in reality discernment -- such as being able to correctly read statements made by Jesus in the Bible. (Jesus didn't leave it all as sheer guesswork on how we are to proceed in life and in our relationship with God).
Here's an example -- just two verses after the infamous John 3:16:
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Gods one and only Son. (John 3:18)
Too many people make it sound like all condemnation from God -- whatever of it may come -- is future tense. Jesus basically assumes all condemnation is acomin' toward all of us...and in fact, rests upon such people NOW -- minus those who don't accept Christ's righteousness as a substitute for our own lack of it.
We are already under condemnation -- until -- and apart from receiving Christ's gracious gift of His exchanged righteousness (by faith/trust) on behalf of ours.
