The complexities of the interactions of billions of human participants with countless billions of wants and needs, but limitless variations of the unknowable and endless individual limited resources that can be brought to bear to secure those wants and needs is beyond intelligent management or control. Free markets allocate scarce capital and resources in a world of unlimited desire better than any mind or system devised by human minds. And only free markets can cope with the changes, expected or unexpected that occur constantly and unendingly.
There is a wonderful article by Daniel Klein entiteled Rinkonomics and a youtube video by John Stossel that are illustrative and enlightening.
"Government is not the solution; government is the problem." Ronald Reagan
Individual freedom and free markets are the solutions to our political and economic problems.
Ping.
He’s spot on about ending the fairy tale that FICA and medicare are not taxes and including them as part of the income tax structure. I dont know about equalizing rates regardless of source. Why take a risk of loss if you’re return is taxed at the same rate as salary?
the key talking point for this bunch is: “Dude, you got any weed?”
That’s waaaaay over their heads.
For them, ‘talking points’ should be kept to words of fewer than four syllables.........
Individual freedom and free markets are the solutions to our political and economic problems.
A statement that begs the question, or confirms what most constitutionalists are well aware of. We are an economy a bit short of individual freedom and free markets, and thus the economy we have is thrust upon us largely by the actions of Government. IMHO!
