How odd. You don’t think your candidate is ready for primetime or late night comedy?
But I can assure you that when it happens, you will NOT be a happy camper.
To: miss marmelstein
Just look at Stewart who has he carpet bombed so far that’s running for President? NO ONE. And if you deduce that to not being ready for prime time, then obviously none of them are.

You’ll find Jon Stewart jocksniffers even among conservatives. There is a mindset out there that listening to JS somehow makes them “cool.”

Stewart gives comedy a bad name.
One of the only funny things about his schtick is that he and so many of his accolytes actually think he is funny.
The other is that so many of the Clueless Generation actually get their "news" from him.

I just don’t watch Stewart. It’s that awful mugging that he does. It just doesn’t amuse me. Sorry.

Is that what it is? A cool thing? Wow. I’ll take the old Johnny Carson’s equal opportunity offender anyday!
To: miss marmelstein
I’m with you. I only watch him if someone gives me a heads up. I am not going to allow a lefty to abuse me. That is why I never turn my tvs on...stopped cable years ago. Which has made life more peaceful.

Actually Bill Maher has called Perry "a real authentic a**hole" so I guess he has made it. LOL He's now ready for primetime since he has been made fun of by a late night "comedy" show. I didn't realize that was a criteria but apparently it is to some people.

Ill take the old Johnny Carsons equal opportunity offender anyday!
I agree with that. Although Johnny could lean too far left for me sometimes too. At least he was actually funny.

Seriously, I’m confused. Didn’t you just finish telling me that it was a good thing that Jon Stewart was “crapping” (horrible word) on Sarah Palin?!

Just wait until your guy is subjected to... "Just wait" ?????
Earth to Miss Marmelstein.
Earth to Miss Marmelstein.
In case you missed it, for the past many months, unless "your guy" was named "Sarah Palin", "your guy", you and the horse you rode in on were were attacked by the Palin supporters like pork chops at a pit bull kennel.
Result: Once your new darling, Herman Cain, bails out on you to concentrate full time on selling books and cashing in on his higher speaking fees, you will have been instrumental in leaving Cain's old buddy, Mitt Romney, as the GOP nominee.
Herman Cain said Wednesday that he would be unable to support Rick Perry for president if the Texas governor were to eventually win the party's nomination. .... The former businessman said, for instance, that he could support former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney....
HERMAN CAIN'S ENDORSEMENT OF MITT ROMNEY PUBLISHED IN THE ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION TWO DAYS PRIOR TO SUPER TUESDAY, 2008
Cain Campaign: Selling a Candidate or Selling Books? ..... But even as he enjoys the fickle embrace of the partys social conservatives, doubts are being raised about the straight-talking businessmans legitimacy, and even his motives. Instead of capitalizing on his newfound momentum by hitting the campaign trail hard, Cain this week opted to spend most of his time promoting his book, This is Herman Cain! My Journey to the White House, which just arrived in retail stores this week. Rather than visit diners in early voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire, hes signing books at Barnes & Noble outlets in Texas and Washington D.C., .... But, as Block also said, the campaign has just 30 staff members spread across five states, fewer perhaps than one of Cains former pizzerias. The candidate this week was scheduled for six book signings and just three traditional campaign events. ... Cain knows he isnt going to win the nomination, despite his recent rise in the polls, said Rich Galen, a Republican consultant and former aide to House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who is also vying for the nomination. Its very smart to leverage his political surge to sell more books, Galen said. Hes a smart businessman.
