I doubt the republican leadership has the balls to actually do this. They are too concerned about getting reelected to do anything that might be controversial.

Oh, yeah. Sen. Mitch McConnell will be so upset. Let's not forget all the ‘reach across the aisle’ RINOs who will be demonstrating their bipartisanship: Brown, McCain, Snowe, Collins, Lugar, Hatch, etc. The clueless Senate GOP couldn't lead a group of randy perverts to a cat house with a brief case full of cash and a fistful of credit cards.

GOP could be in a position to run roughshod over the Senate minority...

They better take advantage of that to turn back a good deal of AT LEAST the recent damage to our Republic, if not a great deal more than that.

This was great news. Gop can now use nuclear option and repeal ocare with 51 votes in february 2013.

It must be repealed by any means necessary. Senate rules don’t apply anymore

I guess you did not read the story. Doesn't matter what the Leadership does, the individual Senators can now play havoc and shut down the Senate anytime they choose.

You can bing the senate to a stand still with quorum calls. Has been done many times.

If we ever take charge of the Senate again we need to be merciless in revenge, period. For starters, Harry Reid’s new Senate offices should be stall number three in the men’s Senate bathroom. Payback is a bitch, Harry.

This would be interesting if McConnell wasn’t such a sleepy-eyed, mumbling, bumbling, slobbering joke of a leader.

Still need 2/3 to override a veto. Gotta defeat Obama in 2012.

I agree, the MSM and the dims have successfully demonized the Tea Party Congressional Freshmen.

Charlie Rangel was on John Gambling in NY, this morning saying that the GOP freshmen are the reason for the gridlock in DC and the reason for the demonstrations is NYC. The guy has no clue that he is the part of “the good ole boy club” in DC that America hates.

I don’t understand why Reid did this. Does he now think he can get Obozo’s mess of a tax bill passed?

Harry’s new office? Stall number three would be luxurious, compared to what I have in mind for him....

Senator McConnell is a master of the Senate rules. He will use this extremely dumb move by Reid to make all hell break loose for the Dems in ways that won’t be apparent to those not directly involved with how the Senate conducts its business.

The fact that Reid and his mommy, Chuckie Schumer, are now asking to come to McConnell’s house to sort of apologize for little Harry’s behavior and try to make things right is all I need to know about how much the Dems realize how Harry’s stunt is going to backfire.

You way underestimate Senator McConnell. His looks may be fooling you. But he’s respected as one of the most brilliant user of Senate rules to the advantage of his party in a long time.

He’s like a master chess player, skill-wise.
