If they were capable of staying on-message on a few key Populist themes, that might make some political sense for the Dems. But this movement is already splintering into every kook, nutball, whackjob, offbeat hippie splinter movement still bouncing around from the 60’s.
Either the DNC plans to formally hijack this thing and make it all about cutting ATM fees and banker perp walks, or they are committing suicide here.
Occupy Wall Street is the left wing rebellion in the Dem Party like the Tea Party is a conservative rebellion in the GOP. Question is what will the liberal (50 percent Jewish) Wall Street Bankers of NYC going to do about it. Many of these demonstrators already spewed anti Jewish statements. Many are ready to do the bankers and their families in. So are they going to continue to support the Dem Party after they are sending cadre to help the OWS get more effective???? I am very interested in seeing how the NYC Wall Street Bankers and especially the Jewish ones react.
If so, next year is going to be memorable, and for reasons we'll tell our children about, long after Hell has been once again unleashed upon us, and forced back in its eternal hole - and it will be, but only at the cost of human lives - that is how it always ends.
God help us. Do these people have the slightest idea what kind of mindless madness they are encouraging? What do they really think the mob means by "Eat the Rich"? "Kill the Rich" is what they truly want to say, and if encouraged, they will try. Don't doubt it.

This is a situation that cannot help but work out for advocates of conservative, limited government in the long run. Conservatives should just stand back with cameras and smile as we take it all in. This is going to become the mother lode of embarrassment for the left in a little bit.
Today, I’m reading of the professional agitators moving into the ranks of this movement - the “professional anarchists.” Never mind the oxymoron here... let’s just go with the flow for now. These professional agitators, coupled with the oncoming weather, means that the “movement” has to realize they’re up against the clock here. They have to step it up to “make themselves heard” before the crowd numbers naturally dissipate.
I’d expect things to get out of hand soon.
The smart move for conservatives here is just sit back, take notes and smile. Let the crowd get as crazy and extreme as they want to get... because while history doesn’t repeat exactly, it does have patterns, and the pattern here is the same one that put Nixon into the WH in ‘68 after middle America got a really good look at the anti-war protestors, especially at the DNC convention.
And it isn’t just Wall Street that can suffer the backlash of their own politics here. Guys like Nurse Bloomberg, who ran as a Republican just to get into office, but then switched away when the coast was clear... he’s clearly another big-money liberal. Let him have a reap a bit of what he’s sown too.

Yeah, these fools made the strategic mistake that Napoleon and Hitler made when they attacked Russia, namely those two started their little get-Moscow shindig right before winter started.
At the first signs of snow in the colder states, the self-proclaimed revolutionary occupier morons will run home to mommy’s and daddy’s house where it’s nice and toasty and someone else will cook for them and do their laundry. Thus in all cases, the dreams of occupation dissipate in the face of bitter winter gales and poor planning.
It’s also gonna be interesting to see if Bloomie enforces the law against tents in public places when these bozos start trying erect shelters on the public plaza that they’re “occupying”. If he doesn’t, then he’s lost all control of the situation and officially bowed to anarchy.

You are sooo right. As a 75 year old, I fear for the well being of my kids and grandkids. I knew the United States when it was a proud country.
The folks who are getting the free stuff, don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, Because the folks who are paying for the free stuff, can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.
And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff, want the free stuff to stop. And the the folks who are getting the free stuff, want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!
Now... The people who are forcing the people who Pay for the free stuff, have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.
So... the people who are GETTING the free stuff, have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff, by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.
We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.
Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

This is the last straw for this administration and hopefully is going to really open some eyes this election.
