“I see they’re covering all their bases with this “plot.”

I see one more base being covered also. Why choose today to announce this alleged terrorist plot? To take some of the spotlight off of the Pub debate tonite, to compete with the Chris Christie announcement of support for Romney, along w/trying to cover Holder’s *ss and try to make him into the hero that saved the day against the evildoers. Trying to steal some of the Pub thunder on the day of the debate works into this equation, as again, why announce today? Obama keeping himself and by association, Holder in the news so all the talk isn’t just about the Pubs.

I notice that Robert Mueller did say that “We live in a time when borders and boundaries are becoming increasingly irrelevant”

So the Obama takeaway from this will be “One More Job Saved”

Also, why would Mexican drug lords be interested in offing the Saudi ambassador to the US? Something’s fishy about this whole thing....

By implicating Ahhmanutjob in Fast and Furious...sounds good to me!

Exactly. The conspiracy theory element is something the folks at DU would grasp onto every time a plot was foiled during the Bush administration. I am glad they stopped the plot before anyone died. Besides the Israeli and Saudi ambassadors to the US, the plot apparently also involved possible attacks on the Israeli embassy in Argentina which would be a repeat of the cultural center bombing. Iran has a long history of supporting terror groups that oppose America and Western values. Sure, it’s a distraction for Holder but we have enemies and Iran has been a thorn in our side for a long time. They have realized that they can do almost anything and the US will not respond. Support terror groups, provide arms, destabilize the region, and imprison or disappear Americans (and not just those hippy hikers - former FBI agent went missing a couple years back plus the American “spies” of Iranian descent they arrest). We do nothing.

Exactly..! Wait, let’s really concentrate:

Umm...the SUPER NASTY Iranian plot that he gallantly averted targeted out of SHEER MALICE:

1. Conservative Jews and Israel sympathizers
2. All plumbers named Joe
3. Mexicans, particularly those hating gun violence
4. Coal miners
5. Anyone who works for an oil company
6. Everyone in Las Vegas
7. Anyone who owns a jet, manufactures them or sells them

THERE..! THOSE are the groups these SUUUUUUPER bad Iranians were targeting...!

You guys had a real near-miss there..!!! This guy saved ya..!

>_<

Still one must ask, exactly what would Iran have to gain from assassinating the Saudi ambassador on US soil?

Exactly, this whole thing does not pass the smell test, it's almost as if they had this ace in the hole ready to use whenever they needed it, like a "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

Well, this would suggest the Iranian guy was an idiot.

As egregiously violent as the Zetas are, any involvement in assassinations like that would definitely be "bad for business." $1.5 million is a ridiculously small sum for doing something that could really get the Zetas in trouble - they probably make that much from drug-smuggling in an hour.

This whole "terrorist plot" narrative is going to unravel pretty quickly -- Iranian mullahs plotting with Mexican drug lords to murder the Saudi ambassador? Please!

I think Zero/Holder et al have just complicated their problems exponentially with this fictitious terror plot.

When I heard the BREAKING NEW ALERT on Fox News. My first thought was SMOKE SCREEN!!!! Then I though 2.5 million to the Mexican Drug Cartel is chump change. Why would they be interested in a suicidal attack like this. NO WAY. It is an OCT trick or treat to congress to take the heat off of the Departments under investigation into Fast and Furious. Where was Home Land Security in this? Did they throw HS under the bus. Is this the Oct Surprise? It is interesting all the new different terror threats. That are surfacing when someone in the current administration gets in hot water over their heads.

The Zetas, according to the scenario, would get to establish a new subsidiary to distribute the heroin Iran would supply them with.

I guess the talking heads will be speculating tonight on how much intel was gleaned through Fast-n-Furious.

I'm beginning to think Hollywood is actually running the Whitehouse.

Somehow, the WH and DOJ are going to link “Fast and Furious” to the terror case... it will give Holder cover for his lies.

Holder can say that he had to lie because the investigation was progressing and he did not want to jeopardize the terror case.

Can see the MSM now... “The Atty General showed great courage, going against his forthright character, by withholding information and giving false statements to maintain the integrity of the terror investigation and protect those involved”.

I may be a nut, but I'm not a hypocrite. Some of those breathless announcements were about fanciful "plots" hatched by informants and agreed to by dumb Muslims. Entrapment. Then would come a new round of molestation @ the airport.
