The other issue that was brought up by Christie was Romney’s religion. Christie was warning conservatives who were critical of Romney being a Mormon.
That was a pitfall that I tried to warn people on FreeRepublic about. The anti-Mormon sentiment was drummed up by the left for the sole purpose of creating dissension in the GOP and many posters on FreeRepublic fell for it. We had anti- Mormon threads almost daily, here on FreeRepublic. I won’t be a part of anything that attacks Mitt Romney for his religion.
Romney is a Mormon like Bill Clinton is a Baptist. Neither has any conviction beyond doing and saying anything to get elected, and their real religion is self.
Not with the bag he is carrying - there is plenty to attack. How he got this far in the debate shows the obvious - the media is behind him and second, these candidates are not doing their job. Brilliant Newt couldn’t make shreds of him? MB with her mouth? Cain? Nope - they are all in it together. Santorum was the best and did the best, IMO.
