Even though the United States Senate on Tuesday blocked President Obama's jobs bill, the legislation's specifics -- as well as the idea of taxing the wealthy to pay for it -- are popular with the American public, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
When asked simply if Congress should pass the legislation or not, 30 percent of respondents answer yes, while 22 percent say no; 44 percent have no opinion.

Oh, and watch how Hussein touts this poll...but no one will aks (yes, I said aks) him about the hugely unpopular DEATHcare law. Or his JOB APPROVAL numbers going down the crapper.
The NBC/WSJ poll — which was conducted Oct. 6-10 of 1,000 adults (200 reached by cell phone), and which has a margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percentage points
,,,,,, , sure isn’t popular with democRATz up for re-election in 2012 .
Popular with whom? The Occupy protesters?
Won’t matter now. It’s toast and it won’t come back up. Obama will have to beat a new dead horse.
Yeah right.
Even if this were true, it would not be surprising that Americans favor taxing the rich.
I guess we should just pass bills with polls now. Mob rule.
30% support is popular?
Of course. They are being told it’s the answer to all their problems and they are grasping at straws.
44% have no opinion.
....and it’s still popular? Nice try.
22% say no and 44% have no opinion but it is popular legislation. Nice spin, but it isn’t going to fly. Even Rats don’t want to vote for this Turkey.
Free Candy is always popular.
Have they polled on HR 365 yet? That’s the one just introduced by some Dummycrat from Michigan that would forgive all the student loan debt.
Nice that our enemies underestimate us. Like we cannot tell that less than one third support the Tax Bill.
Oh, but the assclowns at NBC then gave the people the specific proposals and came up with the “65% approve when given the details” crap.
PIMP THE NARRATIVE, PIMP THE NARRATIVE, PIMP THE NARRATIVE...
FACTS don’t matter, just PIMP THE NARRATIVE.
You said...
“30% support is popular?”
Yes. Don’t you know BHO, with 30% some approval rating, is also popular.
Ok, the no votes are 22% and don’t know are 44% That’s 60 some percent that say no or have no clue. But 30% is popular?? What am I missing??
Anyone who has ever looked at this legislation know that it’s a jobs bill only in that jobs will be eliminated once it’s passed.
What was the response of the missing 4%? - Huh?
22% say they didn’t want the bill passed, and 44% don’t give a hoot?
Isn’t that 66% that don’t WANT the bill passed?
If the question had been, “do you want Congress to pass another stinulus bill?, what do you think the answer would have been then? Yep.
66% would say no.
ORLY?
What’s in the bill?
How is 30 percent popular support? I don’t get this new fangled math.
