......"It's a "pattern time and time again," said senior campaign strategist David Axelrod. "It’s consistent with a guy who ran for the governorship and the Senate in Massachusetts as a pro-choice moderate who supported civil unions and environmental protections to the guy you see today hard after the Tea Party vote who has thrown all his positions over.” If "you are willing to change positions on fundamental issues of principle, how can we know what you would do as president?" asked Axelrod.

The Democratic National Committee has already established a YouTube channel called "Which Mitt" which highlights his Mitt-flops."..................

It is not their primary. It’s our primary. So we should not worry about what the Democrats want or don’t want, and start worrying about what we want.

If we pick Romney in the primary, the best we can do in 2012 is either Romney or Obama as President. I think we can all agree that neither of those is a particularly good result.

Let’s pick a candidate whom we would actually want to win.

Mittens is a disaster and has never had any epiphany and the Obama want this weak link.
Mittens supports the
warming hoax , created Obamacare and his aides helped design obamacare, Mittens aide now works for Obama reckless EPA , and he was pro abortion vs now anti abortion .
The list goes on .
Do you really think this rich guy who is so out of touch that he decided to
Rebuild his Calif beach mansion can win at this time.
The guy is phony and cold .
The GOP base will stay home in droves just like McNuts in 2008

The demrat objective in “attacking” Romney is to make him look like someone a conservative could live with. It is not about defeating him. Demrats were quoted (Google it) months ago saying their preferred opponent was Romney. They didn’t say that because they thought he would be easy to defeat. They said it because if he won the demrats still won—albeit with a Marxist lite “opponent”.

To pretend Romney is anything more than a demrat-controlled RINO—after Romneycare and his election as governor of the Marxist state of Massachusettes—is naive on a scale beyond measurement.

“So I don’t understand this; if like Rush said, they want Romney so they know they can beat him, why are they attacking him now? If Cain keeps going and the delegates vote for Cain then Romney is out of the picture. Are the delegates going to vote against the will of the people en masse? I doubt that. Are the delegates necessarily rinos? I don’t think so. Someone show me what I’m missing.”

Here’s one possible theory-may not be correct, but something I just thought of. Maybe Obama really does want to face Romney and he’s going after him now thinking that the GOP base hates Obama so much that they will rally to defend Romney and believe he’s really a conservative cause he’s being attacked by the “real” enemy.

Then again, I doubt the people in the WH are really that smart. More likely they actually buy into the same garbage the establishment GOP does, that facing a “moderate” like Romney will be harder than a conservative cause they can’t marginalize him. But I think the WH also knows they have more ammo to use against Romney than they could possibly get to in a short general election cycle. So that could be a reason why their starting to use it now.

Hopefully that clears it all up for you :)

The flip flops issue is only a small part of the strategy that Obama is going to use against Romney if he is the nominee. The main part of their strategy is to run as Obama the defender of the little guy against greedy and ruthless Romney the CEO of Bain Capital a financial firm that sells and buys companies and in the process many people lose their jobs. This is the same tactic that Ted Kennedy used against Romney in 1994 during the Massachusetts senate race and it was very successful (watch the Kennedy TV ads against Romney on this issue, they are available on youtube). We will see those people hurt by Romney’s company in endless TV ads and they will be interviewed on TV again and again and again. In this environment where a majority of voters cannot stand Wall Street it is the ultimate foolishness to nominate a Wall Street Man with all the meaning of the word to run against Obama. Romney’s is the dream opponent for Obama, he fits the class warfare playbook to the letter.

I'm glad to see you post articles like this because Romney is the enemy every bit as much as Obama. Too bad it's "preachin' to the choir" and reaching very few "moderate" republicans.

Obamacare is anathema and its real author is Mitt Romney, who now says he wants to repeal it.

People; stop focusing on the debates as if it is what make or win elections, this is just getting ridiculous. There are six months of hard campaigning and only 2 or 3 debates. Elections are not won or lost in debates but rather are won through daily campaigning, meeting voters, speeches, and very importantly political ads. It is how you define your opponent in the six months of campaigning and how you sell yourself is what make someone win or lose and election.

They are going after Romney, so either Rush is wrong or they are wrong...who is wrong?

My goodness...the more I think about the WH attacking Romney now, the more I wonder could this be part of Perry's strategy? We know Romney is the only other one running who has the money and organization established proving he is the serious candidate. Cain is like 2008 Fred 'no money or organization' Thompson. OF course, Fred was miles above Cain with a record to stand on and actually winning elections. I do not consider Fred the flim flam man.

I heard on Fox last night that there are 13 more debates. Is that possible?

IMO, they might want Romney out of the race in order to allow Obama to make make his rightways sashay into Romney's spot - in the middle. Right now there's so little difference between them they're going to have a tough time of it trying to distinguish themselves. Knock Romney out and Obama automatically has a “right wing Tea Party” candidate he can diss. This is assuming Huntsman is still a non-starter looking for a cabinet position with whomever wins, Newt is cute but has too much baggage and is too old and Paul never did have more than 8%. That leave Perry, Cain and Bachman - and the Obama campaign WLL effectively use some of Bachman’s recent statements to cut her to ribbons.
