No, the Tea Party Express “assumed” the mantle of TEA Party. The rest of us used their resources to further our stands. No one is surprised that Dick Armey would support Perry; Armey is a supporter of illegals and cheap labor. Of course he would support La Raza Rick.

These threads don’t scare them at all. A hand full of people preaching to each other. Every one of us voting for the same candidate would not show a blip on a graph. Now if we spread out and engage others on other forums it might help.

Oh yes, you’re definitely obsessed with Perry. You’re also obsessed with yourself,.....

LOL -- sure! Year and institution granting your MD degree in psychiatry? No? Didn't think so.

Sidewalk psychiatrist, self-appointed supervisor of the human race -- good creds for an RNC fulltimer. Or are you just working for the Perry machine, on loan from the Stevens bunch or Tyson Foods?

Truth in posting: I really don't care that much about Perry. You don't see me posting all over everything with Michele Bachmann's or Herman Cain's name all over it. But when people come in here and try to Astro-Turf Free Republic, I tend to get bent about dishonesty and mismotivation, the same as I would if you Perrywinkles were a bunch of HRC gay seminar posters or DU zombie Mau-Mau's instead.

There might be some exceptions, but for the most part, there’s not that much difference between the Republican Party and Dem Party in New York State. That’s why the NY Conservative Party was established, and even they are not always as conservative as I would like.

Heya, lj. Seen any Astro-Turf trolls? The smell of carpet glue is strong on this one!

You heard about Aquaman CN? Stick his nick in the FReeper lookup and see what you get. (Hint: a puff of ozone and little sparkly things trailing smoke, lol.) He got it this morning -- lasted all of 15 minutes. I tried to find the thread he was on, but there was just this smell of ozone and nothing to grab onto.

I love Rush, Levin, and Larry Elder. If I could vote for them, I would.

Finny, I just woke up thinking about this post of yours from yesterday, and wondering something bizarre. Is there any possibility, do you suppose, that the reason Rush was mum about Palin's decision might be because he knows how she will become as irrelevant as HE is (exactly as you say) and maybe, just maybe, he, himself, would consider, or may be considering, a run?

Wouldn't THAT be a gob-smacker?

No. 5 ought to be

“Reinforce every paranoid, underdog and outsider inclination that they have in order to keep them *divided* paranoid underdog outsiders.”

So, this author says that Kristol made a statement to him and implies that there’s some huge conspiracy. You take that as Truth and some mark against Governor Perry?

Are we supposed to believe the lamestream media - in an on-line junk site pretending to be the Atlantic, a leftist propaganda site - in certain special cases? They can ask “when did you stop beating your wife?” They can imply that a third - or is it fourth? - party is part of a conspiracy that only a few insiders know, but now they’re telling the world? Did the author suddenly get religion or take an honesty pill?

Amen, Brother FReeper. Yet an element remains that's a real monkey wrench: Republicans who loath RINOs as much as we do but who nonetheless insist that "we must get behind whatever Republican wins the nomination" even if it is a died-in-the-wool big government statist RINO. The Establishment Republicans have counted on Republicans to do this for the past 30 years, and I have obliged for the past 30 years, though I have finally figured out that if I want to do my part to save this nation, I must REFUSE to vote for moderate statist Republicans. I will vote for someone else instead, even a sure loser -- because statist Republicans are VERY SURE LOSERS when it comes to protecting liberty and prosperity.

It's taken me a long time, but I have finally figured it out. I sure hope a LOT of other Republicans figure it out awful damned quick.

For me, if Romney (or possibly Perry ... haven't vetted him enough yet) gets the presidential nomination, my vote will go to a non-Dem and non-Rep candidate if only to do my part to make sure whichever party wins the election lacks a mandate.

Apparently, judging from what I read and hear in all kinds of places and in all kinds of media, I am most emphatically in the minority. Which tells me that the Establishment is a long way from being reduced to begging to the conservative base, because they can count on the fear making people vote stupidly -- that is, to vote for a RINO.

I love your sentiments, though, and agree with them.

That would be the gob-smacker of all gob-smackers!

Personally, I think Rush didn't say anything about Palin until many days after her announcement, and then only after a caller had poked him, because he was ANGRY. At what, I'm not sure -- at Palin supporters for hoping so ardently that she'd get in the race, or at Palin for bowing out, I don't know.

Yeah, yeah, I know that folks who never liked Palin (and who were gratified by Rush's silence) insist that Rush had been saying he didn't think she was going to run and that therefore her annoucement was a "non event," but that is hokum. Christie announced he wasn't going to run, and Rush spent quite a lot of time talking about it. That he chose to ignore Palin's annoucement was his petty way of sending a message, and to me, that message was ANGER. At what, I'm not sure, but that it was pure anger, I am certain.

You take that as Truth and some mark against Governor Perry?

A Tennessee jury took Clarence Darrow and some remark about a monkey. Darrow didn't have surveillance footage of the deed, though.

Someone brought General McClellan a twist of cigars wrapped in a piece of notepaper. He risked several corps on the proposition that what was on the paper was true, and was fired a few days later by President Lincoln because he didn't risk enough.

Sometimes something somebody tells you is true. Evaluate it.

Probably not, but in vino veritas. Happens to the best of them.

Someone said something once about another man's wife. The husband demanded to know if it was true, and, having survived the workout meeting with a pistol-ball in him, went on to become the seventh President of the United States. That was Andrew Jackson. Must not have been true.

In Alexander Hamilton's case, however, the truth apparently caught up to him.

Sez you, obsessions and all. Neener, neener, neener.

Really, weren't there some, like, issues in this discussion somewhere? Like, f'rinstance, Perry's reliability, and leveling with his supporters.....? -- like, not being a stalking horse for the Yacht Club's favorite Mittens man?

Your boy is going to settle for VP, isn't he? That's the deal, baked in the cake weeks ago, if only he'd jump in and screw the rest of the conservatives by busting up the support and money?

Right? Right? Come on, tell me -- promise me -- Perry won't give Mittens that big, gay man-hug and go tripping off to Amagansett together, to make nice with all the RiNO clerisy in a fine East Hampton double-parlor (in a "cottage" the size of Ellis Island).

Promise me he won't do that to you fangirl/staffers.

You're probably right. Anger. Look at the heartbroken freepers who can only express their Palin loss via anger. Rush is only slighty more subtle.

You are TOTALLY right, IMHO, that CANDIDATE Rush would have power instead of mere voice. As for his actual influence, or lack thereof, I think too many folks are satisfied with merely talking about issues, or hearing Rush voice his (and their) concerns and opinions. VENTING feels good but what does it change?

Not I, you have me mixed up with someone else. Although you did refer to them, in this thread
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2766012/posts?page=22#22

I source my material and do my own homework to show that the Board members of NumbersUSA advocate abortion, start Planned Parenthood chapters, belong to Zero Population Growth, found Earth Day, tell the elderly that they should die, and are advocates of sustainability and the environment.

FAIR, NumbersUSA.org, NumbersUSA.com, and the Center for Immigration Studies: Advocates for Eugenics
FAIR and NumbersUSA were founded and are or have been headed by rabid abortion and eugenics proponents who write books and journal articles and spend millions in the name of population control – “zero population growth” - by whatever means necessary for “sustainability” and the “environment.”
NumbersUSA , FAIR and CIS share a common founder. The groups share advisers and board members, and family names recur on the lists. Not everyone in leadership positions at these organizations is a eugenicist, but there are members on each Board who actively promote abortion and “zero population growth.” These are definite associations with
They were all founded by James Tanton, who also founded and funded several chapters of Planned Parenthood. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Tanton
John Tanton served on the board of Planned Parenthood, helped start many local PP organizations, served as chair of the Population Committee of the Sierra Club, was active in Zero Population Group, counted eugenicists Garrett Hardin and Paul Ehrlich as friends, and helped start “Earth Day.”
http://www.newcomm.org/images/stories/tanton%20paper%20on%20passive%20eugenics.pdf
Here’s his obituary for Garrett Hardin, one of the early Directors of FAIR, who advocate for abortion and euthanasia to control population growth in order to protect the environment:
http://www.garretthardinsociety.org/tributes/tr_tanton_2003oct.html
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/28/science/28HARD.html

The nest of abortionists and eugenicists at FAIR and NumbersUSA includes not only Tanton, but also Paul Ehrlich (”The Population Bomb”) and Colorado’s former Governor Richard Lamm (who is famous for his claim that the elderly have a duty to die) and various other pro-aborts, Earth-First, and eugenicists like Sarah Gamble Epstein, Susan Hull and Garrett Hardin.

BTW, There are actually 2 websites for NumbersUSA: numbersusa.com and numbersusa.org

The .com lists Richard Lamm as a supporter:
https://www.numbersusa.com/content/about-us/supporters.html-0
Then, on .org, there’s Don Weeden, on the Board of Directors of NumbersUSA http://www.numbersusa.org/about/directors and founder of “Apply the Brakes,” who says,

http://www.applythebrakes.com/learnmore.asp
“Reproduction: After a period of slow growth during the years of the Great Depression and World War II, U.S. population started booming due to a expansion in the fertility rate to about three and a half births per woman. The environmental movement of the day called for reduction in fertility and as a result of many factors, the rate had fallen off to below replacement level of 1.7 births per woman by the time of the first Earth Day in 1970. Our current fertility rate of 2.1 is at replacement level, but is still 50% higher than the 1.4 rate of the developed nations of Europe and Japan. The U.S. Congress does not seek voluntary reduction in fertility. To the contrary, it supports incentives for larger family size.”
and
http://www.applythebrakes.com/leader_detail.asp?id=7
“What The Country Really Needs.....
What the country really needs is a population stabilization policy, guided by critical thinking and analysis. This policy should include efforts to significantly reduce the country’s fertility rate (closer to the European average of 1.4 children). We could start by proactively addressing our relatively high number of unintended pregnancies. Additionally, U.S. population stabilization efforts should be coupled with big increases in foreign aid, including family planning, and energetic campaigns to - at the minimum - halve U.S. per capita consumption as soon as possible.”

Epstein is on the BOD of Pathfinders International, which her father, Clarence Gamble, started. That group fought the Mexico City rule of Reagan and the Bush’s and in doing so, advocates for international abortions.

There’s also Diana Hull, PhD, the President of Californians for Population Stabilization. http://www.capsweb.org/ Hull praised Garrett Hardin for his contribution in the form of Or his challenge to that “intuitive ideal” about the sanctity of life - when we should be “sanctifying” sustainability - which is the only policy that can give us a future.
http://www.garretthardinsociety.org/tributes/tr_hull_2003oct.html

NumbersUSA itself refers to Earth Day, Sierra Club, sustainability, human-caused global warming, and environmentalism as support for its position on zero population growth,

https://www.numbersusa.com/content/hot-topics/more-topics/sustainability.html

https://www.numbersusa.com/content/learn/issues/environment/call-population-stabilization-1970s.html

Roy Beck, the Executive Director of NumbersUSA, focuses on the environment and willingness to practice “Family planning” and “planned parenthood” by religious organizations
http://www.population-security.org/beck-3-01.htm

https://www.numbersusa.com/content/nusablog/cafarop/april-21-2010/why-i-am-environmentalist-immigration-reduction.html

Roy Beck also writes position papers published by the Centers for Immigration Studies - another Tanton org. - decrying urban sprawl and calling for population control.

Casual readers should be warned that your accusations are echoed by the lefties over at the SPLC.

http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-report/browse-all-issues/2002/summer/the-puppeteer

Seeing as you routinely condemn every immigration control group, as does the SPLC, tell us what immigration control group does meet your approval.

Is there even one?

There should be one you can name if your real complaint is that litany of accusations you like to post.

But I doubt it. You have an agenda. Your real concern is the subject of immigration control.

One of your comrades gave the game away when she was labeling everyone concerned about illegal immigration as “racists” and “bigots”.

It’s just the old technique of poisoning the well to try to head off a subject that you don’t want discussed.
