There seems to be an all out effort to pit factions of the Republican party against each other so Obama skates thru. It would be nice if we didn't delight in our own destruction.

Its hard to believe Bill Kristol is so anti-Tea party when he was the lone voice championing Sarah Palin when no one here had ever heard her name. I'm really sick of thread after thread being devoted to this internal war. It serves NO PURPOSE!

The problem is not us. We are quite clear that we are with the majority of the American people. You are chosing the wrong target.

The divisive forces in the Republican party are the establishment elites who run it. They see Tea Party people as a threat to their control of the party. They have no firm beliefs and don’t really care about preverving America’s historical values. They will live large no matter who is in charge. Remember, unpopular programs like amnesty and big spending were Republican establishment programs (MCCAIN-Kennedy, Bush 43 deficit spending, Bush 41 tax increases).

This is a battle that has been going on since 1952 (Taft-Eisenhower, later Goldwater-Rockefeller). Conservatism will not triumph until it has total and permanent control of the Republican party. Until them, the ratchet of liberalism will prevail - big increments when the democrats are in charge, small increments when the establishment Republicans are in charge.
