Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell is holding little back as he compares his states model for success to Washingtons big government corporate socialism and big labor cronyism. In a recent letter, Gov. McDonnell writes, we are unapologetic supporters of Virginias Right To Work laws. But, McDonnell doesnt stop there. He pulls no punches when he compares Richmond to Washington, DC and boasts about Virginias success.
From Gov. McDonnells letter:
Theres much more separating Richmond and Washington than just 100 miles of interstate.
Its a Tale of Two Cities.

I live in Virginia near Richmond and am a big fan of McDonnell but one of the reasons for VA being in the black is all the high paying government jobs in Washington. That said I work in the building where Rolls Royce occupies when they first came to Prince George County to build a $500 Million engine facility. The jobs in VA are real and McDonnell continues to scour the planet looking for more. Texas and Virginia seem to take turns as the best place to be located.
He is doing good work bringing in jobs, but his obsession with toll roads, high speed rail, and light rail to payback his cronies is unacceptable. I have been relatively disappointed with the gov.
As a Richmonder, I’m quite pleased with the job McDonnell has done. Namely, gotten out of the way of business!
