“Having said that, and having watched the video of her twice now, I’m beginning to think she really believes what she is saying. It’s still misdirection, but it’s not deliberate misdirection. Which is scary because that is a sign of somebody who is way out of touch. I doubt she would be able to handle a general election, not if she’s acting like this now.”
I’m with you. I saw some of your later posts...you’re far from being a Perry-bot.

(A vote for Perry is a vote for Romney)

I should mention that I don't think Herman Cain's wife would do something like going out and blaming Democrats and Republicans for his problems, and trying to make the problems religious in nature, when they are clearly not.
The thing that confuses me about her little meltdown today is this: If she genuinely believes it and isn't trying to deliberately misdirect attention away from Perry's bigger problems, then there's really no reason for it. Perry is still hanging in at #3 or #4 in a lot of the polls, he just raised $17 million. The primaries are two months off or more depending on just what happens in December.
She can't be under that much pressure, and I doubt that Perry's campaign internally is under that much stress for her to be feeling it.
