At that point, police aren't sure exactly what happened but they do know the car was able to drive away. Must have missed the engine. Only a chassis wound, as it were.

One night we opened for a band that was on tour for their
first recording. Snobby little rat pack, they started telling
us what effects we could use on stage (lasers, fog..etc.),
They also told us to cover the names of our guitars because
one of them had a sponsor.
So I scored one of their CD’s and we sat back stage before
the show and learned one of their songs. When we played it
(our way) they had a fit. Later we caught them trying to
walk out with one of our Marshall heads. We let the bouncers
take care of it. No guns though.
