"Grenade-walking" part of "Gunwalker" scandal
(CBS News) There's a new twist in the government's "gunwalking" scandal involving an even more dangerous weapon: grenades.
CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson, who has reported on this story from the beginning, said on "The Early Show" that the investigation into the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)'s so-called "Fast and Furious" operation branches out to a case involving grenades. Sources tell her a suspect was left to traffic and manufacture them for Mexican drug cartels.
Police say Jean Baptiste Kingery, a U.S. citizen, was a veritable grenade machine. He's accused of smuggling parts for as many as 2,000 grenades into Mexico for killer drug cartels -- sometimes under the direct watch of U.S. law enforcement.

Grenades are weapons-of-choice for the cartels. An attack on Aug. 25 in a Monterrey, Mexico casino killed 53 people.
Sources tell CBS News that, in January 2010, ATF had Kingery under surveillance after he bought about 50 grenade bodies and headed to Mexico. But they say prosecutors wouldn't agree to make a case. So, as ATF agents looked on, Kingery and the grenade parts crossed the border -- and simply disappeared.
Six months later, Kingery allegedly got caught leaving the U.S. for Mexico with 114 disassembled grenades in a tire. One ATF agent told investigators he literally begged prosecutors to keep Kingery in custody this time, fearing he was supplying narco-terrorists, but was again ordered to let Kingery go.

If true, this is an EXPLOSIVE revelation! LOL.
Great work of art. Says it all.
I was wrong.
Since everybody wants to believe F&F was about more gun control, if we follow that logic then this means they want more grenade control.
What’s coming next, more RPG control?
It will be hard for the other news networks to ignore this, but we shall see!
When grenades are outlawed, only outlaws will have grenades....
Unreal. Grenades? Sort of makes me wonder what the grand plan was after all? Couldn't push more gun control on the evidence of US made grenades being found down in Mexico. What in the hell were they up to?
Mexico needs to prosecute Holder and put him in a Mexican jail.
I wonder who will be the first to state that that is an act of war against a sovereign state.
If the 0bama administration would go to these lengths to abrogate our 2nd amendment rights, they will go to any lengths to stay in power.
The only problem they have is 80 million gun owners.
BUT WHAT THEY REALLY WANT TO DO (UNDER THE RADAR) is to ban de-milled grenades and practice grenades since they are somewhat convertable into destructive devices (and a good way of killing yourself if you don't know what you are doing....say, like screwing a Smoke grenade fuse into a grenade assembly):
Anyways, these are what they want banned.
Rember, these are the "grenades" that the UPS carrier saw at the Waco Davidian Compound that initiated an investigation, infiltration, and the ultimate assault by ATF in 1993.
Either that or perhaps we should consider a simpler explanation. Some very high up people at DOJ and State are directly working for one or more cartels.
The simplest answer is generally correct.
In the middle of this there was an executive order that gave more power to Holder to battle international crime.
The simple answer is this: Fast and Furious, Gunwalker, Wide Receiver had NOT A DAMN THING to do with illegal guns, gun trafficing, Mexican drug cartels, etc.
The ATF operations, steered by the Dept. of "Just US" was and is an attempt to undermine the 2nd Amendment, restrict semi-automatic firearms, surplus military parts/equipment, and military curios (like the practice grenades) in order to ultimately disarm us.
Anyone whom does not see that this was a direct attack on individual liberties is a complete moron.
Campaign contributions from a loyal supporters?
Well, if you gave them enough of them, it might slow down illegal immigration. ...
“Grenade-walking” takes away the excuse that this was a means to get more ‘gun control’ laws...
