Emperor Norton wasn't begging while pretending to be penniless (false pretenses). From what I've read, he was a penniless man with genuine delusions that he still had money. Those who felt sorry for him saw to it that he was supported financially.

This guy is not in the same ballpark. I remember seeing him numerous times on TV when I was younger. Now I find out he begs for money for Cubans.
I have sympathy for unfortunate children there and everywhere. But why doesn’t he concentrate on the unfortunate of this country?
The poor here need help just as much. I’m so tired of Americans being ignored. Let the Communists help the children of Cuba.
