Perrys plan calls for using the power of the executive to rein in the EPA, while also opening up more land to energy exploration and use. This plan is smart, hitting our economic problems from more than one direction. Outstanding. Of all the candidates running Governor Perry is the only one that I would trust to take on the EPA. He needs to put those bast@rds out of business!

I believe he is the only candidate that will. Cain wants to restructure them.

I’m going to read the transcript this evening, but the excerpts I’ve seen indicate a very detailed, well thought out plan. I’d like to see a video of his whole speech.

Now that people are feeling the pain at the pump, he blames oil speculators for high gas prices, which are now double what they were two years ago. Remember, that's about the time President Obama took office. And, he says there is nothing that can be done in the short term to ease the pain at the pump.
With all due respect, Mr. President, there is something you could do to ease the pain at the pump. Namely, declare and implement a “drill here drill now” strategy. And remove the ridiculous restrictions on shale oil deposits available out west.
The very speculators you are blaming for the run-up in gas prices would quickly retreat if they thought you were serious about an energy independence plan to maximize all of our existing natural resources. The problem is supply and demand, and expectations about the changes in those dynamics. That's what drives gasoline prices at the pump.
HERMAN CAIN - APRIL 24, 2011
I, too, will never be ble to over come Rick Perry's policy on In-State Tuition for illegals as a path way to amnesty.

So, who is perfect? Im open to suggestions. Jesus Christ but when He comes back it won't be to run in a Republican Primary! I wish folks around here would stop makingh 'the good' the enemy of 'the perfect'. We're all flawed!

Lol....you got the talking points down straight...you Ron Paul or disgruntled Palinista? As far as I can tell most of the loudest Perry detractors are former Palin supporters. If the Governor had waited to announce his candidacy until after Palin had declined to run most of them would be in his camp.

If you want them to read the transcript, make sure you edit out the parts that will offend conservatives. Oh... that’s already done. His egregious promise to use executive orders to enact legislation has been morphed out of his words into a “better” explanation.

I believe he is the only candidate that will. Cain wants to restructure them. The EPA is part of the Executive Branch. Governor Perry has been fighting them for several years and I believe when he gets the chance he will drive a stake through their heart!

Rick Perry's policy on In-State TuitionIt was not Perry's plan, It was Texas legislation, and it passed the house almost unanimously. The matter was UnVetoable.

Good Lord! I said the TRANSCRIPT! Not the Fox News story.
Executive orders overturning Obama's executive orders are good. EO's are not all bad. Did you know GWB used and EO to overturn GW ban on certain drilling?
Go read the transcript of the speech and then form an opinion.
So I guess the Black Walnut (his words) who was "po'er dan po" shouldn't use EO's to overturn Obama's EO's?

We desperately need to do this. Glad perry’s coming out with it. Good point about what he can do (to actually help the country) by executive order.
