Friday war document dump: Obama sends troops to Africa

All those Occupiers holding their “End the War!” signs better march on over to the White House.

President Obama just announced he’s sending U.S. troops to central Africa to fight something called “the Lord’s Resistance Army.”

The letter to House GOP Speaker John Boehner:

TEXT OF A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT TO THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE SENATE

October 14, 2011

Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:) For more than two decades, the Lord’s Resistance

...On October 12, the initial team of U.S. military personnel with appropriate combat equipment deployed to Uganda. During the next month, additional forces will deploy, including a second combat-equipped team and associated headquarters, communications, and logistics personnel. The total number of U.S. military personnel deploying for this mission is approximately 100.

My contribution to the discussion at another thread on the matter:

“I’m being REAL nice when I say we have no business there.

Briefly: LRA are Pagan kooks, and screwballs under the guise of Christian religious purpose, and the Ugandans are supporting Leftist insurrection in the region. There are NO GOOD GUYS, but above all there isn’t an iota of interest to the U.S.. I suspect this is some more UN ‘stuff’ Obama is getting us into.

We have no business involving ourselves in this any way, shape of form.”

People forget that Obama campaigned for Rial Odinga in the 2006/2207 Kenyan election, whise Orange Party was bent on converting Kenya to the rule of sharia law under the auspices of the Somali Muslim Council.Obama supported that. The Obama personal goal is to restablish the old Caliphate of Egypt, thereby elevating the power of Obama’s extended Luo clan in Somalia and Kenya, throwing off the alleged exploitation of European based colonial culture ...thus Obama is involved in strategic destruction of Egypt and Libya former government over the last 8 months. Now Obama is working on the SOuthern edge of the former Egyptian Caliphate under the guise of rooting out evil, when in fact he is forwarding the conquest by the Muslim Brotherhood in the traditional areas of the former Caliphate of old Egypt.

It is sharia culture that will fill the power vacuums Obama has created, assuring the Islamification of large swaths of Africa. Is that in the strategic interests of our nation? Obama thinks so, but he is not informing the nation of it or the reasons for it.Obama is just creating a series of enemies ( Gadaffi, Mubarak, and now “The Lords Resistance Army”)that are dehuminized as evil, a strictly historical fascist method to justify the killing. The thread of unity to the strategy is simply the Islamification of Africa along the lines of the former Caliphate of Egypt.

IMHO there is no US strategic interest in re-establishing the former Caliphate of Egypt, whose main purpose will be the destruction of Israel, and the acquiring of nuclear arms from Iran. This policy is cause for impeachment.

LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009 On May 24, 2010 President Barack Obama signed the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act, legislation aimed at stopping Joseph Kony and helping the countless children whose lives are at risk as long as he roams free. After a year of hard work from thousands of activists and champions within Congress, this landmark legislation stands as the most significant action ever taken by our leaders to end this crisis.
Overwhelming citizen advocacy efforts leads to public signing ceremony by President Obama Three individual campaigns helped bring the legislation to the President's desk, including How It Ends, the Hometown Skakedown, and Dr. Coburn: Please Say Yes. Thousands of activists across the country held hundreds of lobby meetings, participated in nationwide call-in days, and wrote letters to their members of Congress. Due to this overwhelming public support for the measure, the President held a public signing ceremony for the legislation, and released the first statement by any administration outlining our government's commitment to ending the threat of the Lord's Resistance Army.
The law's purpose For over twenty years the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has terrorized communities in central Africa, attacking civilians and abducting tens of thousands of children in four countries. The bipartisan LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act seeks to help stop the immediate violence and end one of Africa’s longest-running conflicts by:
Stopping the LRA, by mandating President Obama to devise an interagency strategy to prevent LRA violence, which should include a multilateral plan to apprehend top LRA leaders, encourage defections of rebel commanders, demobilize child soldiers, and protect civilians from rebel attacks; and Investing in sustainable peace, by targeting US assistance to recovery and reconciliation efforts in northern Uganda, which are essential to rebuilding and healing war-affected communities and preventing future conflicts.

100 is merely target practice for the other guy. Afghanistan is working out so well Soros' pet toad decided he'd send more Americans to Africa.

If you’re going to shoot some terrorists, the LRA is a wonderful group to shoot.

The Ugandans are Christians with oil.

Having said that, I think we should just stick to training and intelligence gathering and Reaper and Predator attacks. The Ugandans are competent enough to fight their own ground battle.
