In a way..kinda stretch... you could say the silent majority became the Tea Party. The difference is the silent majority was coined by a pollitical entity while the TP was a We The People movement sparked by Santelli’s rant.

True. The silent majority turned out for Nixon in '68 in much the same climate as we have now...
The Tea Party has not been silent though... there have been marches on the mall and numerous gatherings in towns all around the nation. I think we will need to stay vigilant because this OWS is not going away... they are funded. These leftist causes are astroturf and planned.
