The Republicans will come up with a way to deal with the uninsured. Trust me the Republicans can’t stand the fact that people are going to the hospital for free services.....I am one of those conservatives. It will be dealt with. Obama is not the guy to figure this out.
Having been a licensed producer (Life and Health), I am familiar with the concept of “insurance.” And it’s history. What we have now is not “insurance” it’s subsidy. And the correct way to deal with the unsubsidized (”Uninsured”) is to eliminate the subsidy, not get everyone on it. Until that happens, healthcare costs with skyrocket, because whatever you subsidize, you get more of. Whatever you get more of (demand), you get an increase in cost.
I personally know a woman who’s grown children are on medicaid and go to the ER of the hospital if they have a headache. That’s what you get with the goal of “insuring” everyone. Get rid of the subsidy, and you will largely get rid of the problem.
