Its a comfort to know not everyones suffering in this horrible global recession. I guess sometimes the good guys do finish first.
Remember that Jake DeSantis letter to AIG this morning and how sympathetic it made you feel about the plight of our plucky financiers? Prepare to be cleansed.
George Soros, who predicted the global financial crisis twice before, was one of the few people to anticipate and prepare for the current economic collapse
And while the financial crisis continued to deepen across the globe, the 78-year-old still managed to make $1.1 billion last year.
It is, in a way, the culminating point of my lifes work, he told national newspaper The Australian.
So saith the man who broke the Bank of England, twirling his new Snidely Whiplash mustache. Exit question one: Whats he going to do with that billion? The left could always use a few more media-watchdog smear sites, I guess. Exit question two: I do a lot of goofing on our more conspiratorial-minded readers birth-certificate Truthers, NAU believers, Glenn Beck fans, etc but since the news is slow, Im going to throw it open in the comments. What dastardly secretive collusion does Soross windfall prove? Did he support The One because he knew that his economic plan would further ruin the global economy, enabling a Soros profit? Or did Obama do that for him unbidden, as a solid? I knew Geithner looked shifty!

somebody should tell teh OWS crowd that their hero (soros) is the biggest 1% out there... followed by their other hero - warren buffet, and that obama AND clinton both made over a million bucks last year, but that GWB didn’t.

Makes me wonder if he and his friends help these crises along. I know that is paranoid but it is a spooky time.

He’s gloating now, but the days can’t be too far off when he’ll be weeping and howling due to the miseries that he’s having a hand in causing finally catching up to him . . .

Your answer:
Soros-Funded Democratic Idea Factory Becomes Obama Policy Font
Three blocks from the White House, on the 10th floor of a sleek glass building, young workers pound at computers, with giant flat-screen TVs overhead. It has the look and feel of a high-tech startup.
In many ways it is. The product is ideas.
Thanks in part to funding from benefactors such as billionaire George Soros, the Center for American Progress has become in just five years an intellectual wellspring for Democratic policy proposals, including many that are shaping the agenda of the new Obama administration.
Much as the Heritage Foundation provided intellectual heft for the Republican Party in the 1980s, CAP has been an incubator for liberal thought and helped build the platform that triumphed in the 2008 campaign.
Our current debt is OVER 100% of our GDP and this is BEFORE Obamacare is fully implemented. And now our Dear Leader is telling us to Quit Crying, Quit Whining and Eat Your Peas as he presses harder and harder for MORE SPENDING. I think his agenda is obvious as is who he works for.

IIRC Soros was recently listed in the Forbes 400 as having a net worth of $22 bil, up from $7.8 bil in the prior year.
Thank you, Obama!

It will be a happy day when Soros assumes room temperature.

(Obama inherited a mild recession from George W. Bush and turned it into a major depression.)
