Thieves preying on fellow protesters (Occupy Wall Street)

Occupy Wall Street protesters said yesterday that packs of brazen crooks within their ranks have been robbing their fellow demonstrators blind, making off with pricey cameras, phones and laptops -- and even a hefty bundle of donated cash and food.

“Stealing is our biggest problem at the moment,” said Nan Terrie, 18, a kitchen and legal-team volunteer from Fort Lauderdale.

“I had my Mac stolen -- that was like $5,500. Every night, something else is gone. Last night, our entire [kitchen] budget for the day was stolen, so the first thing I had to do was . . . get the message out to our supporters that we needed food!”

Crafty cat burglars sneaked into the makeshift kitchen at Zuccotti Park overnight and swiped as much as $2,500 in donated greenbacks from right under the noses of volunteers who’d fallen asleep after a long day whipping up meals for the hundreds of hungry protesters, the volunteers said.

You assume she is organized, as you point out she is an idiot. I tend to believe she will just ask Daddy for another computer. You know dealing with an insurance company can be such work.

In fact now that I think about it maybe the insurance company should decline her claim on the grounds she is protesting for the rich to give up their wealth to the 99% and since her computer falls into the 1%, maybe she was just following her beliefs.

Nan may only be 18, but, she has sure learned how to inflate an insurance claim.

Or she doesn't have a clue how much it cost, since her parents bought it for her. They must be so proud of her.

...”This group really is as pathetic as I imagined”...

YES! And, we have a media just as pathetic because they refuse to portray these “ne’er-do-well’s” (an idle, self-indulgent, irresponsible, lazy, worthless person) as they really are..22 year old somethings with some old hippies sprinkled in, who do not yet have fully developed brains and who have numbed the brains they do have with drugs, impairing any rational judgment they might have.

Found that Ms. Nan Terrie, a freshman law student at an unnamed college in NYC is from Ft Lauderdale (Wanna bet that her family lives close to the ocean and not on the other side of the freeway?), has also been quoted often by newsgatherers.

From AMNY.com:

Protester Nan Terrie, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., had harsher words for the president.

“I blame those in power — I do blame Obama,” Terrie, 18, said. “I’m ashamed to have him as a president.”

Also, just for fun, from AMNY.com:

Richard Gurchin, 59, who said he has been homeless in Manhattan since 1972, said, “I would believe Obama supports us if he showed up and spent the night.”

Poor Richard has found a source of free food in Manhattan, plus lots of attention from the media. Wonder if he recently pawned a Macbook?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I agree, Ronin. When I read the BS about the cash being stolen when the volunteers fell asleep, the first thing I thought was CHECK THEIR POCKETS.

Also, the “security guard” vowing to get tough on the crooks makes me think of OJ Simpson vowing to catch the “real killer”.

Occupy Wall Street protesters said yesterday that packs of brazen crooks within their ranks have been robbing .... demonstrators.., making off with pricey cameras, phones and laptops .... “Stealing is our biggest problem at the moment,” said Nan Terrie, ... “I had my Mac stolen -- that was like $5,500.

Uh .... now what are they protesting against? Isn't it about Greed and people not all having 'Equal Stuff'. Maybe it's just me but Ize tinks Ize smellz a HYPOCRITE!(1)

$5,500 will get you 20 'new' factory refurb'd Laptops at Tiger Direct.com. Yet, little Nan -- and Daddy-kins -- blew that on One Apple product. No wonder Steve Jobs was always smiling. He proved PT Barnum was 1000% correct.

(1) And a bunch of filthy, disease-ridden, Hippies.
(yes I know, that's a 'Triple Redundancy')

Hanging out with criminals and theives (communists) is not a great idea. Many in that crowd could easily rape and murder the heads full of mush, too.

When things heat up that is when they will find out about their comrades’ rape and murder. Hate and jealously is not easily contained and directed.

My mother lost her purse at one of the D.C. Tea Party rallies. When she got home someone called her to tell her they had found it. They mailed it to her at their own personal expense and NOTHING was taken including the hundreds in cash.

What’s the problem, the theives are just getting something for nothing.

Isn’t that the goal of the OWS crowd.

Security volunteer Harry Wyman, 22, of Brooklyn was furious about the thievery -- and vowed to get tough with the predatory perps.

Security... volunteer????

They should form their security volunteers into an organized corps. That way they can maintain order and "get tough" on undesirables and enemies of the movement.

Maybe they can all get matching shirts, so people will recognize their authority and to promote unit cohesion.

You wouldn't want them to be green or blue, though... That would be too reminiscent of the oppressive facists in the Army or the Police.

Brown shirts would be nice! They have that earthy-enviro thing going on... and brown doesn't show dirt! (or blood!)
