Barney Frank Unhappy With Occupy Wall Streeters Who ‘Blame Me For Consequence Of Their Not Voting’
by Colby Hall | 8:17 am, October 18th, 2011

On Monday night Rachel Maddow explained how the Occupy Wall Street movement defied some traditional party lines, or in her words, protesters “aren’t exactly delighted with Democrats either.” She then introduced Rep. Barney Frank, who shared some frustrations with the protesters, saying “I’m unhappy when people didn’t vote last time blame me for the consequences of their not voting.” Frank echoed the thoughts made last week by former Gov. Ed Rendell who basically asked where were these folks during the last mid-term elections?

Frank has been himself a lightening rod for harsh criticism surrounding the loosening of regulations surrounding mortgages, which some feel led to the very mortgage-back security problems that led to a crashing of the U.S. economy back in fall of 2008. Many on the right have efforted to make him the poster-boy of Democratic ineptitude.

He is insane

I assume he is blaming the 2012 congressional elections for all this?

Don’t worry Bwarney, the zombies of obama’s publicly defecating grifter army don’t have to vote in 2012, the labor unions are planning to do it for them

Barney has an answer for everyone.

"If you did not vote for me and the rest of the Democrats last time around, the financial situation is entirely your fault."

The Lord says “I will repay” (Rom 12:19)...

I don’t think Bawney is going to see much judgement in this world, but in the next, all will be set to rights.

Barney Frank really thinks he had nothing to do with the present crisis and only bigger and bigger government can save us all. He even blames the voters for their poor decisions.

I blame the voters of MA who keep sending him back to congress year after year...

Its a dilemma. Corporations are to blame. If these protesters were not tied up smoking pot and playing Xbox provided by the evil corporate world in their parents basements and dorm rooms they might vote.

Uh...he and Dodd were in charge of the oversight of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, the false housing bubble that caused the entire economic collapse.

He's right about one thing. Had the protesters voted the democrats out years ago, we wouldn't be in this mess today.

If they’d let free markets work instead of letting the government pick winners and losers,

most of the abuses we’ve seen would be history, because those companies would be bankrupt.

Barney’s correct in the sense that a lot of these protesters weren’t paying attention for the last 20 years or so and are now paying for their neglect.

Don’t blame all the voters in Mass. Frank represents a small section of the ultra-left-idiots and self hating Americans in a wealthy part of the state. Many of the rest aren’t all that bright, but only a few are GUILTY of Frank.

Oh, man. I wish I'd been watching. I bet Rachel ripped him a new one for that. Trying to pin B.F.'s actions from 10 years ago on what happened at the ballot box last year.

Poor guy was probably reduced to a quivering puddle of pee by the time Rachel was done with him.

These people, for as revolting as they look, are not entirely stupid.

The Dems had the White House, the House, and 60 votes in the Senate for close to two years. They should have rammed through and implemented the Socialist Nirvana they had been promising since FDR in their view. All they got instead was a convoluted and unconstitutional health care bill that pleased nobody...left, right or center.

So, let me see if I understand Bwawney Fwank correctly. He is unhappy with people involved in these protests because they failed to vote him out of office before he and Chris Dodd could do the damage they did with the mortgage crisis? I can’t image any other way to interpret his comment.
