GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Looking dazed, a thin and pale Gilad Schalit emerged from a pickup truck Tuesday under the escort of his Hamas captors and the Egyptian mediators who helped arrange the Israeli tank crewman's release after more than five years in captivity.

The Israeli hostage have been alive all this time after all, I am completely surprised. At least there some kind of happy ending for Gilad Schalit.

Today it looks like a happy ending for Schalit. The unhappy endings for all those Israelis who will be murdered by the murderers set loose by this deal are still to come.

And attempts to capture more IDF soldiers to use as bargaining chips will continue.

One Israeli is worth about 1000 Palestinian scum, so the ratio of the exchange is about right. On the other hand, this will probably just encourage the terrorists to kidnap more Israelis. This is a potent weapon in the hands of the Palestinians. The Israelis should order their soldiers to do everything possible not to be taken alive and deprive the Arabs of this weapon. Kill as many of them as you can but don’t allow yourselves to be kidnapped.

Obviously, Hamas has learned that its fighters can go into battle knowing that capture means better living conditions and eventual release.

When any enemy knows that fighting no longer has the downside of death, it will be more opportunistic. When Hamas fighters attack and over reach, they will just surrender, knowing they will live to fight another day.

Israel has show strategic weakness here, not a good neighborhood to do so.

This makes war a farce and reduces it to a conflict more like a police action that goes on and on and on.

Israelis are not safer when 1,027 experienced and hate-filled Hamas heroes are returned to the battlefield.

Shalit will be forgotten, 1,027 Hamas fighters will not.

The Isrealis should microchip every captured “palestinian” terrorist as part of their processing procedure.

Once you factor in the Israelis who will be murdered in the future by those released the whole plan is a total disaster.

I’m thinking that all of those released have a HUGE bullseye on them. Mossad almost always finds a way to get their targets.

Wait until Hamas is in their third day of celebration and annihilate them like they should have done in ancient times.
