Sounds like while the CEO of a Nebraska company 18 years ago, he supported the powerful Nebraska politicians. Pretty standard fare.

Those donations are about the size it takes to attend a dinner of movers and shakers. Also to have a minimal friendship in Washington to keep the government wolves away.

Did he support any Republicans at the time, I wonder?

Bizness men often give money to both parties. I hate it.

Still doesn’t make me like Ricky though.

>> “In 1993, Cain gave $500 to former Nebraska Gov. Bob Kerrey and $250 to New York Rep. Jose Serrano.” <<

.
In 1993, Cain was in the fast food restaurant business, and had to grease palms to get projects approved.

Not really.

She posts threads that are critical of Cain and everyone jumps in to defend him/well not really, but to criticize Perry.

The people on the Cain threads who hate Perry are making pissant look awfully good to me.

Yet you are perfectly willing to reach back to 2000 to criticize Perry for the in-state tuition bill.

Are you sure that Cain stands between Romney and the nomination?

He may join him...there’ve been hints.

Rush says Perry is the only one with a real chance to beat Romney.

Mr. Johnnie is no longer worth responding to as far as I am concerned.

Yes and some of the Cain zealots have come very close with insinuations about Perry’s wife.

“Under the spell of” pretty much nails it about the Cain supporters.

I haven’t seen so much devotion since ...

I think Cain expects his being black to insulate him from criticism. It has done that for Obama to some extent.

But Cain sat in the amen corner of a black church for years which unabashedly supported affirmative action and black entitlement.

He claims not to support these things.

I guess we’ll have to do a Nancy Pelosi and elect him to see.

There are over 25 active Perry supporters that I know of on Free Republic and probably many more who never post.

There are about 15 Cain supporters whose only joy in life seems to be attacking Perry with old, easily refuted lies and exaggerations

The difference is that the Cain supporters are very active, but really we see the same old names over and over again.

Cain needs vetting. Better now than later.

Yeah lets see his birth certificate...

Yes. I'm also sure the world is round.

As for Cain joining Romney, tin foil isn't my color.

And I can think for myself, I don't live by the word of Rush Limbaugh.

There are more Herman Cain supporters on FR than Perry supporters, and it's the same when it comes to the general public which is why Cain is around 20 points ahead of Perry.
