The Occupiers were the last arrow in their quiver. Civil disobedience was always the trump card of the radical socialists and their communist allies. It was always their ultimate threat. "Give us what we want or we will take to the streets!" But the best they can do is a few bums in New York. Despite all the press the city is doing business as usual. Nothing has been shut down. They are occupying one stinking little park, not Wall Street. In 1968 they Occupied Chicago. In 2011 the best they can do is annoy a few stockbrokers on the way to work.

When you fire off your super secret ultra weapon and the other guy just keeps coming you tend to get real disheartened real fast. Worse yet you lose the ability to intimidate the enemy. Once you have thrown your best punch and come up short the other guys is going to come at you with renewed confidence. Now it is our turn, and they know the punch is on the way.

In my view the danger of the Occupiers does not lie so much in civil disobedience, but in the potential of some of their positions (mortgage cramdowns, forgive student debt, cap bank fees and interest) to catch on with the mainstream.

The Occupiers were the last arrow in their quiver.

Are you kidding?

Long before they get to "the last arrow in their quiver," they get to

"a decision has been made to postpone next November's Presidential Election due to the unprecidented number of voters who seem to have already made up their minds. A White House source, who did not want to be identified, stated that the 'period of voter re-balancing' would stay in place indefinitely.

'The Founding Fathers never intended for elections to take place in such a polarized climate', the source said, adding that a re-scheduled Presidential election would be considered 'once the Executive Branch had a chance to make its case to the public.'"
