I remember back in the early seventies when our ship was in Naples Italy, there was an ugly toothless obese street hooker we named “Humpty Dumpty” (she sat a lot on the walls that bordered the sidewalks).

She made a fairly decent living not through turning tricks but by posing naked for sailors paying to take her picture.

The mischievous swabs would then get her to write on the photo something like,” With all of my love I await our next embrace, my darling Joe (or Ted Fred George—whatever).”
“Joe” would be the buddy you are playing a joke on when you tack up the picture for all to see back on the ship.

Can't remember what the pictures cost—but it weren’t no 10K.
