If I understand it correctly, a VAT is added to the product when improvements are made to the raw materials. It will be passed along, eventually, to the computer in a rise in the wholesale cost of an item. A business tax is a tax on a business’s gross income and will be passed on the consumer, not based on the individual products, but as an across-the-board increase much like the electricity, plumbing and maintinence costs of a factory.

I think if he dropped the sales tax component (and tweaked the rest) he’d be ok. That seems to be the major sticking point.

I totally agree, rodguy911. I've met Pam, and spoke to her for a few minutes last February. My husband and I also attended her anti-Ground Zero mosque rally (featuring Geert Wilders) on 9-11-10 in NYC. She's not only brilliant, but incredibly courageous...
