Ron Paul says a few obvious things which are true, then always goes off into extremes which show him to be a shallow thinker with no sense of proportion.

Ron Paul is probably the least likely to be nominated; and if nominated, the least likely to defeat Barack Obama. If ever elected, he would probably have to be removed from office for mental problems.

I know many good libertarians, but Ron Paul typifies why the more extreme of his group seldom score more than 1% in elections.

I will give you that he will have an uphill battle getting nominated. The Romney globalists continually whispering in our ears, "Ron Paul can't win" -- when what they really mean is that "Ron Paul must not win" because if he won, their game of using the American people as pawns & chumps would be over.

But as for not being able to beat Obama, he's second only to Romney in the aggregate polls and considering the fact that until last night, Ron Paul been completely ignored by the media, that's not bad at all. In fact, the Obama Left are more afraid Ron Paul than they are of Romney, because they are scared that they'll lose their anti-war vote to him.

You know I wish that I had Ron Paul's "insanity"-- especially back in 2006, when the price of my house peaked, because that "insanity" would have told me that it was time to sell before it fell to 1/3 of that top price. Ron Paul is as crazy as a fox -- and rich enough to reject that $400K president salary in favor of $40K, because he bought gold when it was $100 an ounce. We should all be so "insane"!

This country been drifting to the authoritarian Left for years until Obama, when it really turned even harder Left. It's time for a hard turn back to the liberty-oriented Right and that's Ron Paul.

"..and if nominated, the least likely to defeat Barack Obama."

IMO, the ideal candidate is one who is the complete opposite of Barry.

Consider; the Republicans have not had good luck trying to beat a liberal by running a "liberal lite" candidate.

Why not try a conservative for a change? What could it hurt? We would lose anyway if we ran Mitt Parry, so let's give it a shot.
