“He’s popular with PaulBots, tho. They’re everywhere.”
Yeah, and those types scare me. It is really dishonest for Paul to be in the GOP primary. He is a Libertarian not a Republican. He should run as a Libertarian. The PaulBots will only vote for Paul and when he fails to get the nomination they will vote for the Libertarian candidate...which could be Paul. So, he is just a distraction that shouldn’t be allowed in the debates. All he is trying to do is pull more repubs to himself, which he won’t do, he is not interested in real conservatism....just his wacko libertarian views.
What's funny about this is there were many people back in 2008 who were supporting Ron Paul, but their second choice was Obama. It was on a different site I visit sometimes, and it was funny seeing people try to explain things to them about the difference. There were a surprising amount of them also, but you could tell they were just following trends and probably forgot about everything to do with politics the day after the election; if they were still interested by then. That's what you get when you suddenly pick up the votes of people who have never voted before like Obama and Paul did back then. Just imagine how many votes Obama got from people who had no idea whatsoever about anything in politics. It's kind of scary people that stupid/ignorant can decide an election. Actually being informed and still voting for him is worse.
Considering that Mexico is our most destructive enemy, shows how ignorant and careless a lot Republicans are on national security and foreign policy. If Herman Cain addresses the border seriously he will have done more for the defensive, and continued survival, of the United States than Bush,or any other President in years.
I don't agree with Paul's foreign policy, but I do think it's about time for us to stop fighting wars. We don't fight to win anymore like we did in WW2. We have ridiculously long wars, that cost ridiculous amounts of money these days. If a war is really important enough to for us to fight then we need to use the might of our military to get a quick and decisive victory, instead of a war that last 10+ years.
