Seek here is an article from an old Navy buddy of mine retired Super Chief, lives in Dallas. Have fun.
Perry...??? The guy is not ready for prime time. He’s a West Texas hick that staggered through A&M and had the good fortune to be the Lt. Gov. when Bush resigned to head for the White House. He is a hero around here because most of the voters here are as stupid as he is. A lot of folks here like him because he talks like us and he totes a pistol, also like us.
Texas is a funny place, politically. The real power is not in the Governor’s mansion... It’s with the leaders in the legislature. So, the Gov. can sleep through a couple of terms and get the credit if things go well.
Another thing about Perry is that he considers himself a Texan first and a Republican second; also trait of a lot of pols here. Remember he was a Democrat before he was a Republican but if you ask him, his political philosophy has not changed. This state is full of Democrats who don’t believe in gun control, abortion, welfare or anything else the Dems espouse. They vote Democrat because, “My daddy was a Democrat, his daddy was a Democrat and I’m a Democrat! They are for the small man!” Even now with a Republican majority in most of Texas it’s hard to get anyone to admit that they are a Republican.
He has no business running for anything outside Texas. At any rate, after his recent debate performances his run should be just about over. He is getting a few pats on the back for shouting back at Romney but his grasp of national issues is lacking and folks will soon figure that out. He should be back home where he belongs pretty soon. We don’t have a prayer of electing another Texan, thanks to George Bush.
What’s that old saying about the big fish in a small pond?
I see. Texans are stupid. Sorry, "Super Chief". Not buying that pathetic BS, not by a long shot.
>>>>>Perry...??? The guy is not ready for prime time.
That is why we have campaigns, debates and elections. Perry has won three elections for Governor. Oh, thats right, Texans are stupid.
Pure tripe!
Oh Cain said he was American first, Black second, Conservative 3rd. That would make sense since he said empowerment zones deserve lower tax rates because they are predominately black and poor. His words not mine.
Unfortunately some Texas big donors have filled Dim Rick’s campaign coffers, so he’ll be around for awhile longer. At least long enough to run some slick TV ads that give the illusion he can actually think and speak.
