The sad part is that the replacement will be terrible but still better than the socialist we are stuck with.

Who will take over? I suspect Muslim Brotherhood or radical islamists.

One by one the leaders that prevented al Quaeda or MB or the islamists from taking over are being eliminated.

When will it be the Saudis turn?

Qaddafi surely deserved whatever he got. That said, he was no longer working against us. He was not against us. For that reason this kenyan administration fomented a rebellion and overthrow in Libya in order to replace the murderous despot who had given working against America with a new probably Jihadist despotism that will fit right in to the Iranian/AQ/Hamas/Hezbollah/etc. axis.

Will a Jeffersonian democracy follow in Libya? It's not likely, in the absence of an assertive American role.

Proof that IBD doesn't get the fact that we're broke and that Muslims lack the necessities for 'Jeffersonian democracy'. Not to mention that it's none of our business. IBD is certain to endorse Romney.

I keep thinking about the Shah of Iran and what we ended up with.

And those missing missiles.

Gadhafi: Who’ll Replace The Devil We Knew?

I’ll recommend Obama in 2012.

Moslems don’t do democracy (unless they are muslims living as citizens in the United States of America)

the moslem brotherhood will most likely fill the power vacuum

America was founded as a representative republic, as most of the founder recognized democracy as rule by the mob.

the ‘arab spring’ will likely prove to be the consolidation and precursor to the next attempted world caliphate.

Hopefully we will be around to participate in and write some history.

Just 2 cents worth,
your mileage may vary.
