That may happen. But the main reason the demrat Senate is trying to divert money to unions is so they can pass it through (laundered) and then “donate” to demrat candidates—individually or through the DNC.
In other words it’s a demrat scheme to use tax payer money to get demrats elected.
And what Constitutional claus authorizes the Senate to initiate new spending bills?
No thank you. The unions can just increase the union dues on the people they already have. Problem solved, and no one else suffers because of it. Just leave us tax payers out of it.
Good point. I have a feeling that if you go back prior to 1962 (when SCOTUS ruled against prayer in the school) that it has been dramatically downhill ever since then. I would say you could take any level of education, especially in the 1800's & 1700's, and the scholarship in math, reading, literature, science, geography, foreign languages, speech, would literally blow away today's students as well as today's teachers.
We have a bunch of socialist commie pig union "educated" idiots teaching a bunch of lazy, unruly, moronic, even bigger idiots. Parents, get your kids out of the socialist, homo/lesbian & islamic indoctrination centers known as public schools and unfortunately even many Catholic schools. The Catholic high school in my city (Rochester, MN) is every bit as socialist liberal as the public schools.
“Oh no! There will be more rapes and murders, not to mention, fires.”
And all the rapists and murderers will also be uneducated...the horror!
I will have to admit to you guys that Mark Kirk when it comes to voting has been siding with the GOP. I know some of you thought he’d jump ship, I still believed that he was honest when I met him. I’m just hope I’m right and he continues voting with the GOP.
Next time someone at FR is tempted to bitch yet again about the Senate GOP leadership, let’s point out AGAIN that McConnell kept every GOP senator in camp, including those up for re-election next year.
It would have been easy and possibly politically advantageous for Snowe, Kirk, Heller, Scott Brown or any retiring GOP senator to vote YES, especially considering that it would not have affected the outcome with cloture defeated by a wide margin.
It is not easy work to keep a caucus of substantial ideological diversity intact. Like his work opposing Obamacare, McConnell has done a masterful job here.
But, the voted to give FreddieMac and FannieMae more money
As a teacher, YES!
