It just looks like a heck of a lot of work with little payoff:

The way I figure, I lay low for a while until that cute young thing down the road turns into a zombie, then she chases me around for a while until I let her catch me and start munching on my body parts, and then I get to come back to life and hunt down any other surviving cuties and take my turn.

I really don’t see much of a downside.
