Some people are misunderstanding this tenet of his plan as a freebie, it is merely a tax cut/incentive.

One huge advantage of it is how much power it drains from the democrats - Unions and Education are the two biggest strongholds democrats have on Americans - including future generations.

Another possibility for Cain will be those reverse mortgage commercials like Fred Thompson does.

For Herman, the future could be quite lucrative! :o)

I have three.

Perry, Cain, Bachmann, and in that order.

You are just silly. What a silly comment!

Mr. Cain is going to transform America by starting with inner cities that are falling apart. Mr. Cain KNOWS what he can do as POTUS, and he knows how to do it to help others along the way. It is really quite ingenious while being amazingly heart warming.

Well, that darn Herman better get his butt in gear!

I want my inner city and I want it now!

And I want a brand new car.

And a pony.

With my standard deduction and personal exemption I pay very little tax. Take those away and my tax bill would increase by about $750.00

OK, now how much HIGHER is your pay with now PAYROLL TAXES and only 9% withholding? I would bet that you will find it will add up to much more than $750 a year.

I think you are being fictitious.

I don’t think Mr. Cain’s vision is to give people new homes and cars. He is going to rebuild AMERICA. He’s just starting with the inner cities to do that. Then, when everyone has a job for once and lots of money begins flowing from what used to be slums and ghettos but no more, we’ll see an America no one could have imagined under a Cain presidency!

School vouchers have a lot to do with economic climate.

Let's say that I want to live in one area and send my child to school in another. With vouchers I can do that.

I honestly don't see how.

Let's say that I want to live in one area and send my child to school in another. With vouchers I can do that.

And that improves the economic viability of the Opportunity Zone you live in how? And who will pay for your subsidy? The federal government? Who? I thought Cain wanted to do away with the Department of Education. The state or local government? So once again we'd have a unfunded mandate forced down their throats. I thought we were against all that.

Yes, but you have to count all of FICA. If the business pays half, you’re still not being compensated for the half that the business is paying AND that amount increases the cost of doing business.

The only people who’d be paying more are the folks who don’t make enough to pay taxes anyways. Everyone else would save, especially those in the top bracket at 100k, you’d be saving a substantial amount. All take home pay too.

You’d need a 3 percent cut in pay to keep the same margins as previous, but instead of 35, you’d be paying 9 percent. That’s a lot of money over the course of a year.

Because I can stay in that zone and continue to work there. The house I live in will remain occupied rather then sit vacant.

And who will pay for your subsidy?

I do. The amount of a voucher is generally one half of what is squandered to "educate" a child at a public school. The schools that do the worst are actually the biggest money pits with the highest per child spending.

Have I answered your questions?
