"Governor Rick Perry has always championed the pro-life cause, tirelessly advocating for the sanctity of innocent human life in numerous ways," Texas Right to Life executive director Elizabeth Graham tells LifeNews.com.
"Governor Perry has worked alongside Texas Right to Life, helping shepherd our pro-life bills and eagerly supporting our measures," Graham said. "As governor of Texas, he has intervened to stop anti-life legislation on a number of occasions, and he has helped clear obstacles when necessary."

“For the pro-life movement, changing the makeup of the Supreme Court is perhaps the number one issue - as the current pro-abortion majority on the high court makes it impossible to overturn Roe v. Wade and allow for either federal or state efforts to provide legal protection for women and unborn children. Graham says her organization has been appreciative of the nominations Perry has made as governor.
“Every one of Governor Perry’s judicial appointees adheres to a strict constructionist style of jurisprudence; neither do they find a right to privacy in the penumbra of the Constitution, nor do they legislate from the bench,” Graham assures. “Governor Perry’s appointments have created the largest, most conservative judicial body in America.”
Rick Perry said he believes abortion should be legal only in cases involving rape or incest or when carrying a pregnancy to term would threaten the womans life.

Too bad Perry cannot be as strong on the providing of in-state tuition for illegal aliens as he is on abortion
That was identical to what bill clintoon said wasn’t it. I believe there is no difference between, his statement and algores also.
Katherine Cesinger, State Press Director, RickPerry.org, Inc., says, re: Governor Rick Perry's position on abortion: "His position has been consistent on this. Gov. Perry is pro-life, with exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother."
So every life is precious but La Raza Rick is apparently fine with terminating those 'precious' lives in cases of rape or incest?
Regardless one's opinion on the rape and incest issue Perry's two positions contradict each other.
Anyone want to guess why Perry suddenly decided to sign this contract at this particular time? LOL! A day late and a dollar short again.
Do you prefer Clinton or Perry’s judicial appointees?
Do you prefer Clinton or Perry’s pro-life legislation?
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.

I'm not a Perry supporter, but that's a cheap shot.
Abortion is the one area we should not be playing petty politics. Even if you're not a supporter of a particular candidate, we should all be applauding someone that is pro-life.
Abortion is too important to try to use for political advantge. We should be presenting a unified front against abortion.
I may have missed it but did you chime in with a similar comment in any of the multiple threads wherein Perry's supporters were attacking pro-life Herman Cain on the issue of abortion?
Abortion is too important to try to use for political advantge.
I agree. But that apparently doesn't apply when the 3%ers are attacking pro-life Herman Cain.
The article was written in July.
Gov. Perry has always been Pro-Life. His history as Gov. has shown he will fight for the Pro-Life side. He has not had to offer endless "clarifications". We can look at his 10 yrs in office and see he believes govt. does have a role in fighting for the unborn, that it is not just a "personal decision" because it involves a baby's life.
Well, let’s have a look at Herb Cain’s nominees...
Oh wait. NO track record, just yakkity yak. Skittle and unicorn farts.
Too bad you can’t acknowledge a major and proven virtue of Governor Perry without resorting to your same old hate tactics.
I have to assume from your comments that you're perfectly ok with illegals going to college in Texas. You just have issues with them paying in-state tuition in Texas, correct?
If that is the case, why do you object to them getting in-state tuition if they meet the residency requirements for Texas universities, and have been paying the same taxes that every other Texan has been paying?
That is a major drawback to the Cain canidacy that his devotees will not acknowledge and do not dare to look at.
He has no record on advancing legislation, appointing nominees, nothing.
That’s a little unsettling to me.
In case you haven't noticed, I'm a big Herman Cain supporter and the guy behind this site:
Franky, when it comes to abortion, I don't care when they saw the light, as long as I think they are sincere (I do not believe Romney sincere).
Sorry, site name didn’t show in post:
