"Rick Perry -- now coming out with, really embracing Steve Forbes' flat tax idea -- that's going to gain momentum. I look forward to hearing more of the details," she said. "In fact, when I heard that Rick Perry was embracing of Steve Forbes' idea, I went into my garage and dug out an old book from 1999 that Steve Forbes had written. ......Many aspects of it make so much sense - - about the freedom to choose - taxpayer how to file your taxes …..choose a simpler, fairer flat tax…..many of the aspects of it make so much sense."....

Let them cry then. At least without an income tax, they’ll have one less weapon in their arsenal to act on that whining.

For some reason, Cain is really hard on Perry and really easy on Romney. He even said that he would trust Romney as president, but said no such thing about Perry. Strange.

Maybe that post was meant to be funny...you know, a joke?

Dunno for sure, but I laughed at the outlandish imagery and didn’t take it seriously.

“If the Republican field devolves into a battle of tax plans it hurts us all in the General.”

Since Romney came out with the 59 point plan the Herman countered with the 999 tax plan I’ve been saying the same thing, except I think they should be talking about the 15 trillion debt and the inevitable harm that will come from continuing the unsustainable federal government spending. Guess with every deal deficit spending budget deal the repubs do with the dems, they can ignore that 800 lb gorilla for 3 or 4 months until it rears its ugly head. again.

That didn’t do a whole lot of good for Forbes when he ran for President, though.

Yeah we all KNOW that. It is like FORBES FLAT TAX. I voted for Forbes for that reason. Finally some sanity in the Tax debate. But I still want a Balanced Budget Amendment and 2/3rd majority in House and Sen (BOTH) to raise the tax.

But guess what cain’s fav economist Art Laffer said he likes it.

It was not an endorsement, she did not say I am on board, her statement, going to gain momentum is a meaningless term. It sure got Forbes and Judy elected. NOT!!

Palin is not going to endorse a crony capitalists like Perry.

“How excited is she about the 9-9-9 ?”

I saw the interview and she was supportive and gave Cain great credit for making tax reform a high priority issue, but didn’t get into how supportive she is of the specifics of the 999 plan.

Actually she said she would tweak it by removing the corporate tax part, so maybe she’s for his 9-9 plan, or whatever it’s gonna be next week after he changes it.

Sarah’s going to run, too.

There’s no way she’s not.

No way.

“For some reason, Cain is really hard on Perry and really easy on Romney. He even said that he would trust Romney as president, but said no such thing about Perry. Strange.”

Maybe because he really wouldn’t trust Perry as president?

As soon as we have a liberal in, they will raise the rates.

Actually, letting people pick whether they file by the old code or the new means that most people will end up doing their taxes twice—to find out which option will cost them less.
