Once again, as happens so often, you got it right again MM.

I think Cain’s as surprised at his metoric rise as the MSM.

And it don’t look like it’s dropping.

Hey, I’d love to see the guy run....let me get me thoughts together and I’ve got solid reasons. If nothing else, Cain’s popularity has got to be giving the Blue Blood Republican elite hemmhoroids, ya think?

Oh the Blue Bloods are in full combat mode here in the Oregon Special Election. You wouldn’t believe the war they are having with the Tea Party.

The Country Club candidate is going to win the Primary and they are trying to distance him as far from the TP as they can. Hope it works?????

Pray for America

Cain may have wisely refused invitations to be on today’s shows, since he can’t afford many more walk-backs of “misspeaks”. I’d like to see the conservative field winnowed down asap, because Romney is benefitting greatly from the “clutter”. I like Santorum and Bachmann, but I don’t think either can win the nomination or beat Obama if they did.

You know why people like Cain?

Because he is funny, engaging, easy to understand, and talks like a normal person. No political-ese.

I always remember our friend Common Tator’s maxim: THE MOST LIKABLE CANDIDATE WINS.

Based on that, in order of likability we have Cain, Perry, Newt (based on debate performance only), Romney, Santorum and Bachman.

This has nothing to do with who is smartest, most conservative, etc. Purely on television appearance likability.

Obama won because the GOP managed to find the ONE candidate who was less appealing than Obama. Bush beat Gore based on the likability quotient. Bush beat Kerry for the same reason.

If Cain can get enough money, he will win based on this. He also will not get to debate with Obama until very late, one debate, much like Carter and Reagan. (There is no law requiring Obama to debate at all.)

This is how I see the race right now. Things can change, or course. I also think Perry could pull this out, and we might end up with a Perry/Cain ticket.
