The Connecticut Public Transportation Commission is seeking opinions about public transportation services, as well as the proposed busway from Hartford to New Britain.
Monday's public hearing at the Plainville Municipal Center will be the last of four hearings the commission has held statewide this fall.
The panel is seeking comment from the public, transportation providers and other groups about services such as Connecticut Transit and DATTCO bus service and intercity bus service. Members want to know whether improvements need to be made and if the public's needs are being met.
The commission also wants opinions about the busway, the need for bus shelters, bus stop signage and other amenities.
The information gathered will be part of a report to the governor and lawmakers.
Oh Yah build a road that only buses will use some times. Fix the road after the substandard construction, make it a 4 lane road just in case the buses want to race each other. Put up guard rails to keep the bus on the road. Put lights on the road so at night when nothing is on it the weeds will grow faster, then buy more lawn mowers to cut the weeds. Buy another snow plow and salt. Build a parking lot so the attendant can watch the car parked in the parking lot. Don't forget to light up the parking lot. Find somebody who will ride the bus. At the other end get more buses to bring the rider to final destination. Borrow the money and let our grandchildren pay for this useless project. OR have the bus drive on the roads that are already built.
You would not think CT was broke, would you?
