None of the conservative branch of GOP voters are likely to break for Romney.

This bears repeating. This idea that Romney is going to pick up support from the Conservative voters is ridiculous.

I think Romney was rattled even before going into this last debate because he's got to be panicking - over the last few months, there has been a large shift in momentum to Cain, and the polls have changed drastically and he can't get a handle on it.

Mittens has got that same core group of New England liberals, moderates, and Mormons supporting him that he had in 2008, and the only difference between 2011 and 2008 is that he's picked up some McCain supporters.

Romney does not understand how to pick up the 75% or so that is not supporting him. He can attack Cain, Perry, etc., but Cain, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum supporters haven't been flocking too him even after the liberals in the media try to make him out to be the leader and the winner of some of the debates.

And Cain, Perry, Bachmann, and Santorum are not going to get Romney supporters no matter how much mud they sling at him, because the morons supporting Romney are terrified of Conservatives.

Agreed on all points, but if all 5 more conservative candidates remain in the race past first 6 primaries, Romney has a shot at nomination. It will be Cain, Bachmann, Perry, Santorum, Newt (I am calling him conservative in spite of man made global warming couch scene with Pelosi) dividing the conservative voters, Paul will get his die-hard bunch and Romney picks up the rest.
