World Power Swings Back to America- And I Don't See the Name "Obama" in this Article
The Telegraph ^ | 10-23-2011 | Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

The American phoenix is slowly rising again. Within five years or so, the US will be well on its way to self-sufficiency in fuel and energy. Manufacturing will have closed the labour gap with China in a clutch of key industries. The current account might even be in surplus.

Looks like Pritchard’s optimism is all based on the efforts of the PRIVATE SECTOR!

If Obama hears about this, he’ll do every thing he can to stop it.

Come 2012!!!

“all we have to do,

is elect a new president.”

That would be nice, but it would be better to elect a supermajority Congress. Better than that, also have conservatives take over at the local party level, and never leave organized politics to the professional politicians ever again.

How true. If the events in is article come to pass it will be in spite of Obama, not because of him.

Any Republican candidate, with the possible exception of Romney, would do this! And if we have to, we can elect a Tea Party Congress that would put Romney's feet to the fire. Get Obama Out!

Only if we fire Hussein.

US needs jobs to employ the construction work force left idle by real estate bubble. RE bubbles caused depressions tend to last decades not years. US had natural gas and resources emerging nations need. Ignore the environmentalists and exploit these resources that will employ pipe fitters, welders, electricians and etc. The other thing is to stop immigration (legal and illegal) to eliminate the surplus in labor. No point bringing in people who are qualified for only low paying jobs that they actually qualify for food stamps and public assistance. If the next POTUS can do these two things, recovery is possible as income generated from natural resources, cuts in demand for gov services will put money in pockets of businesses and blue collar workers to pay off their debts and mortgages. Dems cannot do this because they are the party for illegal immigration and environmentalism.

I don’t share his timetable of the recovery, but I do believe the 2012 landslide against Obama will be shattering —bigger than the one that unseated Carter, and by a mile.

Leftists are made, homoz are mad, the poor are always mad, the rich will soon be mad, the middle class is mad.

Other than some union goons and lawyers everyone is mad.

"How dependent are we on foreign oil?
The United States imported about 49% of the petroleum,1 which includes crude oil and refined petroleum products, that we consumed during 2010. About half of these imports came from the Western Hemisphere. Our dependence on foreign petroleum has declined since peaking in 2005.

This is good news from AEP...he has generally leaned toward the doom-gloomers.

Who will pay the $14 trillion presently owed?

He's more optimistic than me.
