lol! Thanks RW.

The Steve Forbes endorsement is becoming less valuable by the minute. Won't be long before it becomes a liability.

To tell you the truth, I’m not particularly impressed by endorsements. I’m even less impressed by posters who go out of their way to demean Gov. Perry and those who support him.

“I’m just having a hard time seeing Perry beat Obama - mr slick v mr tongue tied.

Needless to say - if Perry somehow wins the nomination then he has my vote.”

I agree. Look, immigration issues like in state tuition is a state issue, not a Federal one. Rick as President wouldn’t force that on the nation. He is strongly conservative on issues that matter for the Commander In Chief.

But, if he can’t debate? If he can’t communicate under pressure? If he stumbles and is unable to use the English language as a tool of persuasion then he shouldn’t be the nominee.

Bamster will be spending a billion dollars slamming whoever is the nominee. Any slip by Perry will be broadcast constantly. And, his accent and lack of communication skill will be compared to you know who.

They know Perry is not for open borders but they think it enhances their candidate to say he is. It’s pointless and a waste of time to even respond to them anymore.

Go out of my way? :-)

It's not going out of my way to post La Raza Rick's liberal record. You may not like it but that's just too bad.

As for your 'truthful' statement that your not particularly impressed by endorsements, your post #39 begs to differ. You know, the one wherein you said, "Forbes brings some real muscle when it comes to tax matters."

Sounds as though you really were impressed. Maybe just confused.

LOL! No, not blaming Bush... I know Bush wasn't guv 30 years ago...didn't you?

I don't have a clue what is done in Alabama. It seems that the Obama ad. goes after border states before non-border states. Ask Guv Jan Brewer.

Yes, for the umpteenth time, TX schools have to teach illegals in their native language! ...and have for at least 25-30 years!

I worked in a suburban Harris Co. ISD and one of the 1st grade teachers, Mrs. Rodriquez, was moved to be the "bi-lingual" teacher. She hated it! Everyday she would say, "H*ll! If they had had bi-lingual classes when I started school in the valley, I'd still be in the valley speaking Spanish!"

I left the district 20 years ago and I don't know what is done now. Before I left, the districts around Houston had such a demand for ESL teachers that the districts offered a finder's fee to teachers who referred a certified ESL teacher who was hired. If you think that is something, you will love that the ESL teachers were paid more than the English only teachers. I have no clue if that is true today.

Again, this was in the '80's.

It was all fed stuff...not State.

The kids had to be tsted to determine their dominate language and had to be taught in that lang. The parents could request they be taught in Eng.

There was a kid named Smith who was in Sp. Ed who had siblings with 4 different last names. When it was time for him to be re-evaluated he had to be given a lang dominance test because his mother had married a Gonzales. The kid had never spoken Spanish but that is how stupid it was. Typical Gov't stuff.

You'll have to look up your own links for Perry.

Good night to you too.

Get sleep now, because you’ll want to be wide awake on Tuesday when the Perry Plan comes out! LOL

By the way, I heard Perry was going to be on the Bill O’Reilly show on Fox this Tuesday night as well for an interview, discussing The Perry Plan in more detail with Mr. O’Reilly. I’m sure he’ll probably have other interviews after his speech that day too, but I did Bill O’Reilly last week announce his interview with Rick Perry for this coming Tuesday show.

Night!

Don’t even try. They are idiots and listen to nothing.

They come on this Perry thread and start trashing him.

If I started out liking Cain, and I did, I would despise him now because of his supporters.

I liked Perry and Cain. As of now Perry is number one for me.

All these posts from the Cain fanatics are really a turnoff. They are doing Cain NO favors.

We will be seeing The Perry Plan, Perry’s flat tax proposal, economic plan, and entitlement reform package this Tuesday, October 25, but I thought you might like to see what another grassroots individual is saying about Perry’s flat tax plan.

A leading Tea Party ally believes Rick Perry’s call for a flat tax could be a boon to the GOP presidential candidate.

Dick Armey was a key proponent of the flat tax when he was House majority leader in the mid-1990s. Today, he is chairman of FreedomWorks, a grassroots group closely aligned with the small-government Tea Party movement.

Armey said in an interview that he’s anxious to see Perry’s tax-plan details, which the Texas governor will unveil in a speech Tuesday, Oct. 25 in South Carolina.

“I want to make the tax code so simple that even Timothy Geithner can file his taxes on time,” said Perry, joking about the Treasury secretary, who didn’t pay his taxes in full when he was at the International Monetary Fund.

The flat tax also is a central component of magazine publisher Steve Forbes’ 1996 presidential campaign. Forbes is on the board of the FreedomWorks foundation.

“I always said we would pass this into law when America beats Washington, when the grassroots activists and the general interests beat the special interests,” Armey said in the interview. “The majority in the House today is a conservative majority, it’s not a Republican majority.”

Armey, an economics professor by training, said he’d be happy to consult with Perry on the flat tax. But he pointed to his 1996 book on the flat tax as a guide for Perry on how to counter critics of his upcoming plan.

“An awful lot of people make a living from tax complexities and they don’t want that to end,” Armey said.

What's this I keep hearing over and over on FR about how "great" a debater Obama is and how he'll "wipe the floor" with Perry?

This is the guy who had to have a teleprompter to speak to a Kindergarten class for pete's sake.

Go to Utube and see what happens when his teleprompter malfunctions.

Did anybody see him on Bill O'Reilly? Hardly Mr. Smooth.

Remember "corpseman", "my Muslim faith", "57 states"?

His press conferences are few and far between and he takes few questons. Remember the last one where he just stood there, saying absolutely nothing and making people wait several minutes because the teleprompter wasn't que'd up?

Perry should do just fine up against Obama.

I’m sorry, I do not believe you.

I could be wrong, but I simply do not believe that a federal law has in place for 30 years forcing ANY states to have ESL programs.... it may have been recommended, but never forced.... if I’m wrong, I’ll gladly own up to it. And the idea, that since something was done a certain way for 30 years, the governor has no power to change it, is BS... whoever fed ylu that line, lied to you.

Believe this...I don't care what you believe. LOL!

Oh! Did I mention that the school dist. I referenced was a poor district but over time, and having so many illegals enroll, we became wealthy! On the backs of the "wetbacks." (that's what they were called then)

Hallelujah! PTL!

I’m a Cain supporter and I agree.. let’s ALL stop the Perry and Cain bashing because it’s just going to destroy us just like Romney and Obama’s people want it too.. we are the dumbasses if we let that happen.. yeah Perry is a little weak on some things just as Cain has stepped on himself too but the facts are there has NEVER been a perfect candidate including Ronald Reagan who had passed pro abortion measures in California when he was governor and raised taxes let alone looked like a deer in headlights in some of his debates.... let’s tout our candidates and respectfully disagree when we disagree and try with all our might to not destroy ourselves and in doing so reelect Obama... Perry is coming out with his economic plan good for him I’m not going to slam it but I might have questions.. but has anyone tried to understand Romney’s behemoth?.. no that’s why it doesn’t get slammed nobody can understand it and he wants it that way.. we just slam Cain on his thoughtfully put out plan and then Perry’s plan will get slammed by the rabid Cain people and so it goes.. we kill each other and Romney rides above it all .. well he’s smarter than all of us then

No, it wasn’t “on the backs of illegals/wetbacks” that it became wealthy. It was on the back of the AMERICAN TAX PAYERS... don’t ever forget that...you nor your Perry worshipping buddies. Someone has to pay for those “poor poor illegals” you all feel so sorry for...
