For some people, probably the best they can hope for is a dictator who will create an environment where the regular people can make a living and raise their kids in relative security as long as they keep their mouths shut about politics.
I'm sure there are a bunch of people in Somalia, Zimbabwe, and elsewhere who wish they had such a dictator, rather than the competing local warlords and "power brokers" they have to deal with.

FYI. I have lived all over the world and even did a 18 month stint in Teheran and the surrounding area. People who are not as fortunate to have been where I have cannot conceive of the horrible way people treat each other beyond what happens here. Our civility was created over time, but the basis of the human race remains the same. The sooner we as a nation recognize that simple fact when dealing with other cultures of this world, the better.

Ain't it crazy that so many non-moslems seem to lack the mohamad cult's eagerness to rape males? I mean, I've lived among non-moslem Eastern Europeans who didn't want to jump on every young boy in sight. There was a bit of promiscuity, but not a lot of buggery. People living in former Soviet block countries just might fit your definition as "less fortunate.
Now, leaders and royalty in moslem countries...there are some folks who are far from "less fortunate." Why don't you explain why they treat others inhumanely?

I definitely agree that TV is one of the major causes, however I want to add another factor.
