Interim ruler unveils more radical plans for Islamic law
The Telgraph ^ | 23 Oct 11 | Richard Spencer

Libya's interim leader outlined more radical plans to introduce Islamic law than expected as he declared the official liberation of the country. Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, the chairman of the National Transitional Council and de fact president, had already declared that Libyan laws in future would have Sharia, the Islamic code, as its "basic source". But that formulation can be interpreted in many ways - it was also the basis of Egypt's largely secular constitution under President Hosni Mubarak, and remains so after his fall. Mr Abdul-Jalil went further, specifically lifting immediately, by decree, one law from Col. Gaddafi's era that he said was in conflict with Sharia - that banning polygamy. In a blow to those who hoped to see Libya's economy integrate further into the western world, he announced that in future bank regulations would ban the charging of interest, in line with Sharia. "Interest creates disease and hatred among people," he said. Gulf states like the United Arab Emirates, and other Muslim countries, have pioneered the development of Sharia-compliant banks which charge fees rather than interest for loans but they normally run alongside western-style banks.

The picture on Drudge of our idiot Sock Puppet President says it all.

"I am a boy in over my head"

For one to say he is not a supporter of Islamic principals, especially the more radical ones is to fool oneself or simply to prove you are politically correct.

A radically Islamic collection of countries from Saudi Arabia to Libya bode a very ill will to the Western Civilization.

It is time we began to drill for oil and gas everywhere and begin to completely cut our selves off from Middle Eastern choke holds.

Let Europe die on the vine.

Look to 1917, this sock puppet and his handlers are using the same playbook.

When you are controlled by ideology rather than rational thought, anything goes.

Calling interest a fee, however it’s configured, is just lying to other Muslims.

Our FBI called this illegal when the Mafia charged a fee for loans.

This Administration is entertaining to say the least.

Letting Euroe die on the vine is like saying let the Muslims have it. I sure am not ready for that, but your statement about drilling is right on.

The Middle east was brought to the world’s light byy the oil they have. They took our money and now have gotten strong with it. Now they threaten us with their relisious cult.

Our only way to break free is to free oursleves from the need for their oil.We must drill here for our energy, and stop sending billions to our enemy every day.

More radical than who expected? We all knew this was coming. Including Obama.

I thank God every Sunday for one more week where I can openly worship as a Christian without fear of reprisal.

“Libya’s interim leader outlined more radical plans to introduce Islamic law than expected...”

More radical than expected? Expected by whom? The utter f**king morons who thought this was actually a “democratic” uprising instead of the obvious radical Islamic uprising? Good grief these people are just stupid.

Barry Sotero, our Muslim POTUS, gets what he wanted—another country for Sharia.
Surprised?

NOT me.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit has stated on the record that Obama told him he is "still a Muslim" and once he had taken care of some domestic issues, he would show the Muslim world how to take care of Israel.

Looks like he is keeping his word.

Scenario: ‘Rebels’ want to change their government....a scenario which, IF America IS involved, requires long and serious consideration ....much longer and more serious consideration than was given by THIS administration in Libya...

And, THIS course was chosen with complete disregard for long standing, mandatory and VERY formal protocols for committing the US military, anywhere.

If militant rebels wanted to abandon diplomacy and if the US (NATO) were thoughtless and irresponsible enough to overlook the immediate and long term consequences of supporting the rebels’ ‘extra diplomatic’, then the US (NATO) can expect to held just as complicit as the ‘rebels’ in the final outcome. (By the way, absolutely NOTHING in the character or history of that population would predict a positive outcome)

American diplomacy (such as it IS) failed disastrously here. This administration committed outright and shamefully idiotic excesses in a situation which still permitted of non-military intervention if intervention was AT ALL justified. I firmly believe that. America was USED

It utterly amazes me that the first President we elected after 9/11 was a Sharia-loving Muslim.

"Liberation"??? Hardly ... Sharia is not liberation.

Same thing happened in Egypt.

Same thing is happening in Iraq. Just more slowly.

For mohammedans, "self-government" doesn't mean freedom. It means islam at bayonet point.

“For one to say he is not a supporter of Islamic principals, especially the more radical ones is to fool oneself or simply to prove you are politically correct”

He’s not a supporter-—he’s a major enforcer. And he has used US troops and supplies, at taxpayer expense, to do it.
