National Guard Sgt. Caitlin Kelley, who was seriously injured by Eduardo Sencion in the Sept. 6 rampage, said the mass shooting has made her furious about gun laws.
“I can’t imagine why we are even selling assault rifles to civilians,” said Kelley, who now must use a wheelchair after being shot in the foot. “There’s no reason for an AK-47 or an M-16 or an M-4 to be in a civilian’s home.”
They just did a touchy feely piece on this Guardsman this morning...
She just got a freebee wedding gift from the community...And she has the nerve to tell us why do we need AK’s, M16’s (I wish I had one), and M4’s???
IN MY HOME!!!
She questions that???
But she doesn’t question anything about the asshat that shot her and her friends that day...
I hope someone pulls her aside and tells her that she may be slightly wrong on this...Just slightly.../sarc
YOU have NO RIGHT to question MY Constitutional Rights... you asshole dim bastard.
LLS
It’s not the Bill of Needs.
Love the picture...
If only it had been for real...We could have done a lot of damage to the opposition with just a few of those...
The femSgt is wrong on the 2nd amendment, but right on the weapons nomenclature. The weapon used was a full-auto AK -- which classes it with the AK47, M-16 and M4 -- which are select-fire assault rifles (properly so classed).
Of course, those of us who choose to live 'way out in the boonies would prefer to have at least one assault rifle (select fire) at hand for each trained defender -- instead of the semi-clicko Brady bunch- mislabeled "assault weapons" to which the current infringements now limit us.
"Police protection"? With the Sheriff's office at least twenty miles away? Not even a bad joke...
The weapon is a MAK 90 out of Kali. Sencion got about 5 yrs ago. It was professionally modified for full auto. Sencion is also schizophrenic according to his family.
per the RGJ

KEY FINDINGS OF ATF REPORT
» The gun used in the Carson City IHOP mass shooting on Sept. 6 was a Chinese-made Norinco Mak 90.
» Eduardo Sencion had purchased it from a private party in California.
» The gun had been modified from a semi-automatic to an automatic.
» Officials are searching for the person who modified the weapon.
» Sencion fired about 60 rounds.
» Sencion also had in his vehicle an AK-47 and Glock
In a followup article one comment was interesting.

“Well, are there file markings?
Look, contact the ATF, in 1992 or 1993 a shipment of automatic mac-90’s was discovered by the ATF and collected one piece at a time using records of purchasers, I know because I had one that was recalled by the ATF.
Perhaps more than one shipment came in? I mean based on our record of discovery, when we found our first one, I think its safe to assume other shipments may have gotten through.”
I wonder if this was part of that shipment or there may have been others? Maybe we are looking at a F&F or Gunwalker weapon.
Don't let this fool you. This is the guy who - because of HIS PERSONAL objections - refused to let the Campus Carry law even come in for discussion. He and his office ignored phone calls, faxes, email & snail mail. I contacted him over and over - as did many supporters of the bill - and never got a response from anyone.
Thanks. I have not seen that info.
I know when I took my CCW class that was one thing they stressed with us. Be very sure BEFORE you draw your weapon that you can use it without collateral damage.
Where did the hardware come from?
He probably bought if from the Obama Administrtion
Female, probably a clerk of some sort. Last time she fired a weapon was probably in basic.
I can think of a few...
Was it a full auto AK or was it a semi auto AK that was illegally modified to fire full auto?
I was under the impression that it was modified.
Which makes my case.
“Horne, D-Las Vegas, told the Reno Gazette-Journal that while he’s a gun owner who supports gun rights, he questions why citizens need to own an assault weapon.”
Nope...not possible to support gun rights and still have that question; unless, of course, you are a pandering libtard liar.
“A Sgt in the Army does not understand the difference between an M16 and an AR15? Sigh, just what is our Army coming to?”
Well, we adpoted the 9mm handgun because lil female hands had a difficult time with the 1911 .45ACP.
So, the answer must be, a kinder, gentler, feminized and probably soon to be more queer Army.
PS One that doesn’t know guns all that well, from the quote from Sgt. Caitlin.
bigger question would be whether or not its 'Right' and proper for citizens to be able to defend themselves against lunatics bent on murder and mayhem ???
would she *feeeeel* better having been torched by a firebomb rathather than being shot by an otherwise regular old rifle round ???
