Libya ends public showing of Gaddafi's body (dispute of burial)

The burials {of Gaddafi, his son and his former army chief} have been held up by wrangling between the emerging factions within the National Transitional Council over where they should be interred. NTC leaders want Gaddafi buried at a secret location so the place does not become a shrine.

Gaddafi's tribe, centered on the city of Sirte where he made his last stand, has asked for the body so they can bury it there. Gaddafi requested to be buried in Sirte in his will.

If they can't even decide on whether or not to bury Gaddafi, let alone when or where, how can they ever run a country?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that not all countries are ready for democracy.

Nobody said SEALs are stupid.
I said they aren’t.

They’re smart enough to resolve the situation such that whatever Hussein said is irrelevant.
They’re smart enough to dispose of bin Laden such that he won’t be a problem, and that Hussein doesn’t have a choice in the matter.
